The 10X Rule, by Grant Cardone | Animated Summary | Between the Lines Book Summaries and Reviews

05:33
Amazing Fan Video created by Between The Lines SUBSCRIBE HERE - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOQVrTkfOXvowfeS1-qZ4nA The 10X Rule, by Grant Cardone | Animated Summary | Between the Lines Book Summaries and Reviews To get your copy of the 10X Rule click here: http://amzn.to/1SVuD7n In the 10X Rule, Grant Cardone covers how we underestimate what we can achieve as humans and often shoot for goals that are mediocre. The 10X Rule says to take what you think you want and multiply that by 10. Now how much time is that going to take? Multiply that by ten too. No matter how much time and effort you think something will take it's going to take a lot more, if you guess 10 times more you will likely be safe. Plan for that. If you feel fear, you should act, don't let your fear take over what you do. Grant Cardone is a salesman, so when he feels fear he picks up the phone and dials, instead of figuring out what he's going to say and how he's going to react, he can get through 20-30 calls by just acting without thinking, and eventually fear subsides or becomes minimized. The book also goes into a few mantras for achieving success. These mantras are: success is important, success is your duty, and there is no shortage of success. If success is something you are interested in then you definitely need to take this books advice and plan to achieve a ton of it so as you aren't going to be left behind. How Much Car Can I Afford (20/4/10 Rule)

07:38
If you’re in the market to buy a car, you might be asking yourself “how much car can I afford?”. In this video I teach you the 20/4/10 Rule which is a great rule of thumb to understand how much car you can actually afford. Cars are a big financial decision that most of us have to make, and it's smart to go into a car buying situation knowing exactly how much you can truly afford. This video will help you do that. Although I still prefer to buy cars cash, I think that the 20/4/10 Rule is a good starting point for someone to decide if a car is affordable or not related to their income and budget. How To Manage Your Money (50/30/20 Rule)

07:08
In this video I present a high level overview on how to manage your money using the 50/30/20 Rule. Money management is 90% discipline and 10% knowledge. The 50/30/20 rule will force you to create a budget and understand where every single one of your after-tax dollars is going. 50% of your budget should be spent on needs which are are things that are essential to life and that you literally cannot live without. 30% should be spent on wants which could be classified as things that bring you joy and happiness, but are NOT essential to living. (Dining out, entertainment, hobbies, etc.) The final 20% should be spent on savings, paying off debt, and retirement planning. What Is The 4% Rule? How Much Money Do I Need To Retire?

05:52
Enroll in our Personal Finance Masterclass for just $10: https://www.videoschoolonline.com/YTFinance In this video, I want to explain the 4% rule. This is also known as the Safe Withdrawal Rate - or basically the rate at which you can spend your money without ever running out of money. An easy way to calculate what this means for you - and how much money you’ll need to retire is by flipping it around and multiplying your yearly expenses by 25. For example, if you and your family spend $40,000 per year, you’ll need to have 1,000,000 invested to not run out of money. There must be some limit to how long you can withdraw 4% and still have money left over, right? The study that explains the 4% rule is called the Trinity Study, and it looked at how much money you’d need to retire for every year between 1926 and 2009. The study found that if you invest 50% of your money in stocks and 50% of your money in bonds, withdrawing 4% of your money will be fine for 25 years, 100% of the time. Doing it for 30 years - you’ll still have money left over 96% of the time. only if you retired in a very unlucky year and never made any money after retirement including pensions or social security - the 4% rule didn’t work. So to make sure we’re all clear - the 4% rule isn’t 100% foolproof. But those odds are pretty darn good - and even while I hope to retire from regular work longer than 30 years - i know I’ll continue to make money doing things i love which will make sure that the 4% rule does succeed. For those of you that want to be 100% sure your money will never run out (especially for those of you who plan to retire longer than 30 years), use the 3% rule and only withdraw 3% of your investments per year. Let’s get back to the 4% rule and dive a little deeper. As many of you are probably asking, why is 4% the safe number and not 10% or 2%. Very simply, investing money will pay you dividends and increase in value at an average rate of 7% per year. On average inflation is about 3%, basically decreasing the actual value of the money you have. Combine those two numbers, and you’re a 4% - your net income will increase by 4% each year. And if you spend that 4% without going over, you’ll end the year with the same amount that you’ve started… in perpetuity. Okay okay - i know a lot of you say this is crazy - what about the recession - you can’t predict stocks - and lots more thoughts. But let’s look at those numbers even deeper. Since 1900… over one hundred years ago, the average return per year has been 7% including reinvested dividends (meaning you reinvest the dividends - or the money the companies pay your for investing - into your investment). For inflation - since 1913 - over one hundred years ago, the average yearly inflation is 3.22% Even through the great depression, world wars, crazy years of inflation, more wars, and the great recession the average return rate has been 7% and inflation has been just over 3% What does this tell us? It tells us that investing is more about being patient and investing early rather than trying to time the market. Now this doesn’t mean that it can’t change. Investing is a risk. That’s why you do it and make money from it. But world war iii could happen. another even greater depression could happen. and we have to be prepared for something like that. because if you retired with 1,000,000 in 2007, assuming you’d be able to spend 4% of your net worth per year, you were in for a surprise - which might mean going back to work for a few years and waiting out the recession. hopefully, if you did that… and left your investments in the stock and bond market, you would be in good shape. The key takeaway is that throughout the history of modern america - you’ll be fine to retire using the 4% rule. So calculate your yearly expenses… include some emergency padding… and start investing to get to that goal of 25 times your expenses. Let me know if you have any questions or comments below! Is this crazy? Or am I onto something? Again, thank you to mr money mustache and the mad feintist for the inspiration! Cheers, Phil Please subscribe to the channel and leave a comment below! 10 Bagger Rule - Stock Market Terms Explained

06:24
10 Bagger Rule - Stock Market Terms Explained ★ SUMMARY ★ If you've never heard about this term it was really coined up by Peter Lynch in his book One Up On Wall Street. This book really defines the 10 bagger really associated to baseball bag being a base and then when you add up doing two home runs and it double you get 10. Really the rule can be applied to any sort of investment or anything that appreciates tenfold or a ten times. For example if you had something that was $10 per share and then it appreciated ten times you would be at $100 per share. Now if you take that same concept and you say a stock opened up for trading at $20 per share went up 10 times then that would put it at $200 per share. In other words it's a nine hundred percent increase in the investment so Initially this concept or this term of the 10 bagger doesn't really seem that attractive or as exciting as you're just talking about hey I purchase the stock here then it went up 900% or 10 times it seems fantastic. Really where this concept starts to get that aha!, moment really you start to realize well I don't really have to trade a lot and that's the big aha! moment that's really where you benefit from understanding this rule and concept. Taking in account this Ten Bagger Rule or this ten better term, here's what happens if you have an investment that you go in and you go ahead and make a trade and it goes up ten times or a ten-fold so let's say you have a $10,000 investment and it goes up ten times now you're up at $100,000. you take that same investment and do that one more time in your life and you're up to $1,000,000. So if you have 10 baggers, two home runs and a double you basically go out with a million dollars so that's from two major stock trades or two major investment and you're out one million dollars. How Goldman Sachs Came to Rule the World: Bank, Stock, Finance, Money

59:37
The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is an American multinational finance company that engages in global investment banking, investment management, securities, and other financial services including asset management, mergers and acquisitions advice, prime brokerage, and securities underwriting services. It also sponsors private equity funds, is a market maker, and is a primary dealer in the United States Treasury security market. Goldman Sachs also owns GS Bank USA, a direct bank. Goldman Sachs was founded in 1869 and is headquartered at 200 West Street in Lower Manhattan, New York City, with additional offices in other international financial centers.[3] Due to its involvement in securitization during the subprime mortgage crisis, Goldman Sachs suffered during the 2007-2008 financial crisis,[4][5] and received a $10 billion investment from the United States Department of the Treasury as part of the Troubled Asset Relief Program, a financial bailout created by the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. The investment was made in November 2008 and was repaid in June 2009.[6][7] The list of former employees of Goldman Sachs who moved on to government positions includes former U.S. Secretaries of the Treasury Robert Rubin and Henry Paulson; current United States Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin; current chief economic advisor Gary Cohn; European Central Bank President Mario Draghi; former Bank of Canada Governor and current Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney and the current Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull. In addition, former Goldman employees have headed the New York Stock Exchange, the World Bank, and major banks such as Citigroup and Merrill Lynch. On November 16, 1981, the firm acquired J. Aron & Company, a commodities trading firm which merged with the Fixed Income division to become known as Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities. J. Aron was a player in the coffee and gold markets, and the current CEO of Goldman, Lloyd Blankfein, joined the firm as a result of this merger. In 1985 it underwrote the public offering of the real estate investment trust that owned Rockefeller Center, then the largest REIT offering in history. In accordance with the beginning of the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the firm also became involved in facilitating the global privatization movement by advising companies that were spinning off from their parent governments. In 1986, the firm formed Goldman Sachs Asset Management, which manages the majority of its mutual funds and hedge funds today. In the same year, the firm also underwrote the IPO of Microsoft, advised General Electric on its acquisition of RCA and joined the London and Tokyo stock exchanges. 1986 also was the year when Goldman became the first United States bank to rank in the top 10 of mergers and acquisitions in the United Kingdom. During the 1980s the firm became the first bank to distribute its investment research electronically and created the first public offering of original issue deep-discount bond. Robert Rubin and Stephen Friedman assumed the Co-Senior Partnership in 1990 and pledged to focus on globalization of the firm and strengthening the Merger & Acquisition and Trading business lines. During their reign, the firm introduced paperless trading to the New York Stock Exchange and lead-managed the first-ever global debt offering by a U.S. corporation. It also launched the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (GSCI) and opened a Beijing office in 1994. Also in 1994, Jon Corzine assumed leadership of the firm as CEO, following the departure of Rubin and Friedman.[19] Another momentous event in Goldman's history was the Mexican bailout of 1995. Rubin drew criticism in Congress for using a Treasury Department account under his personal control to distribute $20 billion to bail out Mexican bonds, of which Goldman was a key distributor.[20] On November 22, 1994, the Mexican Bolsa stock market had admitted Goldman Sachs and one other firm to operate on that market.[21] The 1994 economic crisis in Mexico threatened to wipe out the value of Mexico's bonds held by Goldman Sachs. In 1994, Goldman financed Rockefeller Center in a deal that allowed it to take an ownership interest[22] in 1996, and sold Rockefeller Center to Tishman Speyer in 2000.[23] In April 1997, Goldman was lead underwriter of the Yahoo! IPO. In 1998 it was the co-lead manager of the 2 trillion yen NTT DoCoMo IPO.[24] In 1999, Goldman acquired Hull Trading Company, one of the world's premier market-making firms, for $531 million. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldman_Sachs Image By Jdarsie11 (Own work) [CC BY-SA 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

I will explain to you what the 20/4/10 rule is as well as give some of my thoughts on it. The 20/4/10 rule states that whenever you're in the market for a new car you should always put at least 20% down, finance the vehicle for no more than 4 years, and have the total monthly car expenses (including the monthly payment if you have one as well as insurance costs and possibly even gas) add up to no more than 10% of your monthly income. The 4% Rule for Retirement (FIRE)

09:23
If you have spent any time researching retirement planning online, you have heard of the 4% rule. If you haven’t heard of it, the 4% rule suggests that if you spend 4% of your assets in your initial year of retirement, and then adjust for inflation each year going forward, you will be unlikely to run out of money. While it is simple and elegant, the 4% rule is probably not the best way to plan for retirement, especially if you plan on retiring early. I’m Ben Felix, Associate Portfolio Manager at PWL Capital. In this episode of Common Sense Investing, I’m going to tell you why the 4% rule is not a rule to live by. #retirement #finances #investing ------------------ Visit PWL Capital: https://goo.gl/uPcXg7 Follow PWL Capital on: - Twitter: https://twitter.com/PWLCapital - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PWLCapital - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company-beta/105673/ Follow Ben Felix on - Twitter: https://twitter.com/benjaminwfelix - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/benjaminwfelix/ ------------------ Video channel management, content strategy & production by Truly Inc. - Website: http://trulyinc.com - Twitter: https://twitter.com/trulyinc

Applying Buffett’s “Rule 1” of investing

02:50
Buffett’s famous “Rule 1” of investing is straightforward; don’t lose money. But 10 years into the current business cycle, with unemployment and interest rates at record lows, the window of opportunity for easy returns is closing. Amit Lodha, Portfolio Manager of the Fidelity Global Equities Fund, says that a focus on capital preservation is key. “If you’re thinking from a three-to-five-year perspective, which is what I do, I think caution is definitely warranted.” But perhaps controversially, Lodha said that recessions can be a good thing for strong companies with outstanding management teams, as it can allows them to invest for the future at reduced prices. In the video below, Lodha shares the characteristics of a company that can excel in this environment using a well-known example.

Mutual Fund Rule 15-15-15 | Reality Of Mutual Funds Return | Mutual Funds Truth with Proof

08:50
The 15-15-15 rule of mutual funds 15 X 15 X 15 rule of mutual funds Do u know the 15 X 15 X 15 rule of mutual funds? 15000 a month as SIP 15% rate of return (Assumed CAGR) 15 years of investment tenure And against your original investment of INR 27 lac, you will get INR 1 crore That is almost four times the value of your investment! This is the power of compounding. So forget 15x 15 x 15 15 x 15 x 30 is the new mantra But look at 15x15x30 instead - where if you increased your tenure by another 15 years - basically doubled it, your invested amount would be INR 54 lac…BUT you would be accumulating…INR 10 crore - yes it’s 10 crores Or Rs 15,000 SIP at an assumed CAGR of 15% for 30 years can give you return of Rs 10 Crore upon maturity. By just increasing your tenure by 15 years one can get 10 times more return. The investment amount is Rs 54 lakhs but the amount accumulated by then is Rs 10 Crore. 10 times the amount over 15 years! This is the phenomenon called the Power Of Compounding! Most of us can’t belive in this or think it’s a scam or gimmick. The others who have done it have made their money or are on that path! Power of Compounding Albert Einstein rightly said that compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world. Compounding is a very powerful concept. This is because the interest of your invested money is also earning interest. The value of the investment keeps growing at a geometric rate (always increasing) than at an arithmetic rate (straight-line). Your money keeps on multiplying over a period of time. Also, compounding is a long-term concept. And by long-term, I mean 15-30 years. Investing early is as important as investing wisely. Just a small amount can increase your earnings rapidly. Let’s see how an Rs 15K investment can earn you Rs 10 Cr. Benefits of SIP Investment Rupee-Cost Averaging Disciplined Investing Simple and easy to monitor Flexibility A SIP can be stopped any time at one’s convenience. The SIP can be paused, or the SIP amount can be increased or decreased at any time during the SIP’s tenure Long-term gains SIP gives return only over a period of long-term. Its important one sticks to an investment for at least a period of 10 years for higher returns. Patience is the key to success. Stay invested for long to earn higher returns. Guy Spier said, “Long-term compounding is an investor’s best friend, so why to get in its way”. So do not get in the way of your investments in short-term. Remember, compounding only works in the long term. Compound Interest and the Rule of 72 — Cardone Zone

40:44
I want to give you my new Real Estate book for FREE! Just follow this link: https://10x.grantcardone.com/real-estate-made-simple-book The 'Rule of 72' is a simplified way to determine how long an investment will take to double, given a fixed annual rate of interest. By dividing 72 by the annual rate of return, you can know how many years it will take for your investment to double. The rule of 72 with compound interest was great back when interest rates were higher. If you gave 100K to Bank of America today, it would take 72 years for your money to double. In Japan, it costs you money to keep money in the bank. You need a new vehicle that allows you to: 1. Protect your capital 2. Give you at least a 6-10% return 3. Gives you the possibility of appreciation in the future 4. Gives you tax advantages The bank is for people who don’t trust in themselves. You need to be doubling your money quicker than what the banks will give you. The house is about protecting money, but it doesn’t give a return or a tax advantage. I’m seeing doubles in 3 years, 4 years, and 5 years investing in multi-family apartment buildings. This is the new compound interest. Don’t wait until you are 90 years old for your money to double!
