CRAZIEST New Technology Used By The Military Today!

HOVERBIKES The concept of complete freedom of movement for vehicles is not new to the military, and many vehicles have been developed in an attempt to achieve that capability. The United States Department of Defense is currently developing a hoverbike called the Joint Tactical Aerial Resupply Vehicle, or JTARV, expanding on an original concept and design by British company Malloy Aeronautics. 9. MAGNETO HYDRODYNAMIC EXPLOSIVE MUNITION (MAHEM) When it comes to battling armored vehicles, the preferred weapon of choice is a rocket-propelled grenade, or RPG, but thanks to advances in technology, a new type of missile warhead has been created. This is called the Magneto Hydrodynamic Explosive Munition, or MAHEM. 8. MAGPUL FMG-9 In battle, it’s not enough to have a good firearm. You must have it at ready - and, at times, concealed, which can be a problem when you have to wear it on your body using a strap or holster. But a new gun may prove to be a game-changer when it comes to the ability to conceal one’s weapon. The Magpul FMG-9 isn’t just a fully functioning gun, it’s also one that can fold into the shape and size of a laptop battery. 7. EXOSKELETONS For as long as there has been war, there has been the desire to make the soldier better, faster, and stronger. Technology isn’t quite ready for exoskeletons, but there have been many military projects that have aimed to make a functioning, and inexpensive exoskeleton designed to boost a soldier’s performance on the battlefield. 6. PACK MULE ROBOT While we don’t quite yet live in a world where sentient robots live alongside humans, the military has long entertained the idea of a robot companion that helps soldiers as they move from one location to another. One recent attempt was a collaboration between Boston Dynamics and DARPA to develop a “pack mule” robot known as the Legged Squad Support System, or LS3. 5. SMART UNIFORMS Tactical advantages are vital to successful missions, and many technologies have been developed to help soldiers see better, react quicker, and be more lethal when necessary. But that doesn’t stop enemy combatants from seeing the soldiers in even the most cleverly camouflaged standard uniforms. In recent years, researchers have designed various “smart fabrics” to better hide soldiers from enemy eyes. 4. LIQUID ARMOR Liquid armor is a type of military uniform that is comprised of a material called kevlar, which has been soaked in a special liquid and encased, and is used to make soldiers lighter while also keeping them safe. This “special liquid” is called shear thickening fluid. When it’s not under attack, it’s a plain liquid, making it lighter than regular armor, and allows soldiers to move around with ease. 3. THE CORNERSHOT One of the most disadvantageous aspects of combat is that more often than not, you need to be in visible range to fire at a target, meaning that your target can shoot back. And if they’re around a corner, that can leave you very vulnerable, unless you have the Cornershot. 2. BLACK KNIGHT UNMANNED COMBAT VEHICLE UAVs, or unmanned aerial vehicles, helped revolutionize air reconnaissance and warfare, and the military is looking to do the same thing when it comes to ground warfare, in hopes of losing as few soldiers as possible. One such prototype that they’re working on is a 9.5-ton tank called the Black Knight Unmanned Combat Vehicle. 1. LASER WEAPON SYSTEM Laser weapon systems are currently in use by the US military. One of the most popular of which is the LaWS, or “Laser Weapon System,” which works by firing a laser at a target. Now, unlike the lasers you’re probably thinking of, it doesn’t disintegrate enemy ships and personnel. Instead, the laser causes the systems on the craft or missiles it’s aimed at to stop working.

Rules of war (in a nutshell)
Yes, even wars have laws. To find out more, visit http://therulesofwar.org ******** Rules of War in a Nutshell - script Since the beginning, humans have resorted to violence as a way to settle disagreements. Yet through the ages, people from around the world have tried to limit the brutality of war. It was this humanitarian spirit that led to the First Geneva Convention of 1864,and to the birth of modern International Humanitarian Law. Setting the basic limits on how wars can be fought, these universal laws of war protect those not fighting, as well as those no longer able to. To do this, a distinction must always be made between who or what may be attacked, and who or what must be spared and protected. - CIVILIANS - Most importantly, civilians can never be targeted. To do so is a war crime. “When they drove into our village, they shouted that they were going to kill everyone. I was so scared, I ran to hide in the bush. I heard my mother screaming. I thought I would never see her again.” Every possible care must be taken to avoid harming civilians or destroying things essential for their survival. They have a right to receive the help they need. - DETAINEES - “The conditions prisoners lived in never used to bother me. People like him were the reason my brother was dead. He was the enemy and was nothing to me. But then I realized that behind bars, he was out of action and no longer a threat to me or my family.” The laws of war prohibit torture and other ill-treatment of detainees, whatever their past. They must be given food and water and allowed to communicate with loved ones. This preserves their dignity and keeps them alive. - SICK & WOUNDED - Medical workers save lives, sometimes in the most dangerous conditions. “Several fighters from both sides had been critically wounded in a fierce battle and we were taking them to the closest hospital. At a checkpoint, a soldier threatened us, demanding that we only treat his men. Time was running out and I was afraid they were all going to die.” Medical workers must always be allowed to do their job and the Red Cross or Red Crescent must not be attacked. The sick or wounded have a right to be cared for, regardless of whose side they are on. - LIMITS TO WARFARE - Advances in weapons technology has meant that the rules of war have also had to adapt. Because some weapons and methods of warfare don't distinguish between fighters and civilians, limits on their use have been agreed. In the future, wars may be fought with fully autonomous robots. But will such robots ever have the ability to distinguish between a military target and someone who must never be attacked? No matter how sophisticated weapons become it is essential that they are in line with the rules of war. International Humanitarian Law is all about making choices that preserve a minimum of human dignity in times of war, and makes sure that living together again is possible once the last bullet has been shot.

10 REAL Robots That Stole People's Jobs
top 10 robotic machines that have stolen jobs from people Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Other Videos You Might Like 10 Mythical Creatures That Actually Existed! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M3063KYYr4 10 Cute Kids Who Grew Up To Be Monsters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5y9OPpEKnY Description: Don’t look now, but the scary, dystopian themes of a futuristic robot takeover might be slowly playing out in front of our very eyes. As we grow increasingly reliant upon technology, automation and even robotics have taken on a more significant and present role in our everyday lives. Our phones recognize our voices and talk back to us, our cars can remember trips that we’ve previously taken and our computers customize information to better suit our needs. Automation has taken over for human employment in so many ways, as we order lunch from a touch screen, buy groceries at a self-checkout machine and do our banking at an ATM or online. Robotic technology in the workforce isn’t simply here to stay, but boasts a growing presence. Observers at the forefront of technological development have predicted that humans will end up using robots for a wider variety of tasks that will only grow in complexity as their capabilities continue to advance and their skill set expands to even include responsibilities that demand creativity and recognizing human emotions. If you’re thinking about robots in a Hollywood cinematic sense, think of this new reality as less of a Terminator-style doom and gloom scenario and more of a WALL-E type of gentle, opportunistic takeover. According to a 2015 report by the Bank of England, robotic machines are poised to take over 80 million American jobs and 15 million British jobs over the course of the next 10 to 20 years. That would represent 50% of the workforce in each of the two countries. Through this scenario, the Bank believes that administrative, clerical and production workers will be the first roles to be wiped out by the rise of automation as humans adapt their skills to fulfill duties that can’t yet be handled by robots. While the Industrial Revolution forced manual laborers to improve their skills to take on more sophisticated, complex jobs, this new era of mechanized development would see the robots use their advanced programming to just replace their human counterparts. While the report may seem dramatic and shocking, particularly given its two decade or less timetable, it becomes less so when you realize that we are already well into the predicted rise of the machine. In various sectors of employment, jobs are already being done effectively and efficiently by mechanisms possessing artificial intelligence. From multi-billion dollar corporations like Amazon to technology companies like iRobot to even the United Stated military, robotic technology is being looked to as an increasingly viable, cost-effective means of skilled labor as opposed to using a human workforce. It’s an amazing time that we currently live in, even if we don’t quite realize it yet. Over the past decade or two, technology has evolved at such a remarkable rate that we have come to expect regular new innovations and technological developments to hit the market in rapid succession. Now, we hardly bat an eye if confronted by, say, a prescription-filling robot pharmacist or even a Jeopardy-playing IBM computer named Watson. This might well already be a robot’s world, and we’re just living in it. Air Force Bugbot Nano Drone Technology
Air Force Bugbots Nano Drone video gives a peak inside what nano-drone technology the Federal Government is currently implementing within the united states more than a scary thought or sci-fi movie, they have arrived. The deadly, insect-sized drones of the future - Unobtrusive, Invasive, and Lethal are here as depicted in this old video The Air Force is reportedly developing winged drones that can sneak up on a suspected enemy as stealthily as a mosquito This is the video missing from this article: http://theweek.com/article/index/240285/watch-the-deadly-insect-sized-drones-of-the-future# A law signed by President Barack Obama in February 2012 directs the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to throw American airspace wide open to drones by September 30, 2015. Nano sized Drones Combined With DNA Hacking Could Create A Very Scary Future for the United States in light of a law president Obama signed last year implementing a fleet of at least 30,000 spy drones to spy on small town USA no later than 2015 to spy on Americans. Unfortunately this is a true story and as long as we continue to let politicians like President Barack Obama and other democrats pick apart and fundamentally change our constitution instead of protecting it, we move closer to an extreme communist state in our country. In case you didn't know it - and you probably didn't - Congress, with little fanfare, passed an FAA re-authorization bill that President Obama signed into law that will put 30,000 flying drones spying on Americans across U.S. cities by government. People are already nervous about the prospect of being watched by law enforcement (and possibly the military or DHS), but our leaders employ these tools nevertheless and "we the people" are letting them. Even the liberal news huffington post has a video news story about this although they try to legitimize the reasons for needing this to save lives. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/19/drones-unmanned-aircrafts-us-airspace_n_1896839.html The president has ordered 30,000 spy drones to be used within the United States to spy on Americans to be implemented by 2015 We are already seeing evidence of spy drones being used within the United States and NOT for border patrol Government Spy Drone Crashes in Maryland but what about preserving our constitutional rights and freedoms? http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2012/06/12/recent-crash-raises-questions-about-drone-safety/ MORE SOURCES AND RELATED STORIES: The Future of Drone Surveillance: Swarms of Cyborg Insect Drones - http://www.networkworld.com/community/blog/future-drone-surveillance-swarms-cyborg-insect-drones Tiny robot mosquito drones being researched by the US government - http://2tfu.com/2012/06/16/tiny-robot-mosquito-drones-being-researched-by-the-us-government/ National Geographic Story: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2013/03/unmanned-flight/horgan-text Government Working On Mosquito-Sized Drones - http://www.ijreview.com/2012/06/8545-bio-inspired-drones-swarms-of-eyes/ Micro-Drones Combined With DNA Hacking Could Create A Very Scary Future - Business Insider - http://www.businessinsider.com/government-collected-dna-and-future-micro-drones-are-downright-scary-2012-10 USA Today Story: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/washington/story/2012-06-19/drone-backlash/55682654/1 Studying butterfly flight to help build bug-size flying robots - http://phys.org/news/2012-02-butterfly-flight-bug-size-robots.html US military developing insect surveillance drones - http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2012/07/28/253223/us-developing-robot-mosquito-spy-drones/ Video of squadron of nano quad rotor aerial drones - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQIMGV5vtd4 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/02/flying-robots-nano-quadrotor-drones-swarm_n_1249442.html http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/02/01/nano-drone-swarm-shows-off-slightly-creepy-formation-skills/ British Army Using Tiny Drones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5TdbMu8xc4 Drones In U.S.: More Unmanned Aircraft Will Be Flying In Domestic Airspace By 2015 (VIDEO) - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/19/drones-unmanned-aircrafts-us-airspace_n_1896839.html Washington Times Story over Domesticly Used Drones: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/feb/7/coming-to-a-sky-near-you/?page=all Snopes reports nano drones true but then brushes it off - http://www.snopes.com/photos/technology/insectdrone.asp

10 Most Powerful Military Weapons That Had To Be Banned
These weapons were so powerful throughout history that the united nations HAD to do something about them! There are actually rules of war. If this sounds crazy to you, you’re not alone. Most people think that everything goes when countries go to a war, but this is far from the case. There are international laws that govern war just like they govern other departments, although, to be fair, it’s harder to put rules in in special cases like these. Interested? A country determined enough to go to war should, by definition, be determined enough to do whatever it takes to win, and many do break the predetermined rules of war. However, you’d be surprised to know that many militaries abide by the rules even during these difficult times; otherwise international repercussions might take place. Top Secret Advanced Military Weapons
Top 10 real life Call of Duty weapons, soldiers and military robots from the future! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like Screenrant: Movies You Didn't Know Were Influenced By Video Games https://youtu.be/Z5VOQ2OvmBQ Futuristic Technologies That Already Exist: https://youtu.be/aVA2sF-hHTI Description: 10 secret advanced military Weapons Every year, nations around the world each spend billions of dollars on defense. When combined, total world spending on military forces is estimated by some experts as surpassing $1.7 billion in 2014. That’s a lot of money and the figures don’t look like they will drop off over the coming years. National rivalries, arms races and breakthroughs in weapons development all mean the final bill a nation is expected to pay only gets bigger and bigger. It’s not hard to figure out who some of the top spenders are when it comes to military budgets. Head and shoulders above everyone else in this respect is the United States. The USA spends around $600 billion a year on its military. Not only is that three to four times more than the next closest spender – China - that’s also more than the next several highest spenders added together. The War on Terror, regular upgrades to weapons systems and the ongoing competition with China and Russia all fuel this massive spending spree. Indeed, many nations on this planet have some sort of military rivalry with a neighbor which fuels spending and development of large armed forces. Apart from simply buying fleets of tanks, planes and ballistic missiles, the massive military budgets of the world’s armed forces are also used to develop new and high-tech weapons. These secret and futuristic weapons take years of testing and development and sometimes never even make it to production. So why spend so much on something which you may never use? It all comes down to maintaining a technological edge over your rivals. Many futuristic weapons never leave the prototype stage because they are not practical for the time or there is a lack of funding. However, sometimes a secret and high-tech weapon can come along at the right moment when the funding is right, the need is there and the weapon in question is practical. Think robotics, stealth technology and laser weapons. The following video takes a look at some of the most secret and high-tech weapons currently being developed or entering service in the military. These projects have required billions of dollars in spending and decades of research and development to reach the point where theory and concepts become reality. Ahead you’ll find everything from laser weapons to ‘death-ray’ emitters to creations which will make you think of the Terminator films. Yes, in many cases the science-fiction of the 1960s, 70s and 80s is beginning to take on a very real, and sometimes scary, reality when it comes to what the military is rolling out next. The concepts behind some of these weapons aren’t very new and you might, at first, think they aren’t very high-tech and secret. Laser weapons are a perfect example. Just keep in mind that the weaponized lasers of today are far different from the early military lasers which were relatively weak and bulky and severely limited in their ability to destroy objects. Army's robotics alliance rallies researchers
ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. (June 14, 2018) – As part of a strategy to develop and deliver new robotics capabilities to future Soldiers, Army researchers have partnered with world-renowned experts in industry and academia. The University of Pennsylvania hosted a series of meetings in Philadelphia June 5-7 for principal investigators and researchers from the Army’s Robotics Collaborative Technology Alliance, or RCTA. “We are coming together to tell each other what we’ve done over the last year,” said Dr. Stuart Young, a division chief in the U.S. Army Research Laboratory at Adelphi, Maryland, and the RCTA’s collaborative alliance manager.
Six Experts Explain the Killer Robots Debate
Why are so many AI researchers so worried about lethal autonomous weapons? What makes autonomous weapons so much worse than any other weapons we have today? And why is it so hard for countries to come to a consensus about autonomous weapons? Not surprisingly, the short answer is: it’s complicated. In this month’s podcast, Ariel spoke with experts from a variety of perspectives on the current status of LAWS, where we are headed, and the feasibility of banning these weapons. Guests include ex-Pentagon advisor Paul Scharre, artificial intelligence professor Toby Walsh, Article 36 founder Richard Moyes, Campaign to Stop Killer Robots founders Mary Wareham and Bonnie Docherty, and ethicist and co-founder of the International Committee for Robot Arms Control, Peter Asaro. If you don't have time to listen to the podcast in full, or if you want to skip around through the interviews, each interview starts at the timestamp below: Paul Scharre: 3:40 Toby Walsh: 40:50 Richard Moyes: 53:30 Mary Wareham & Bonnie Docherty: 1:03:35 Peter Asaro: 1:32:40
Boston Dynamics' Atlas Robot Can Do Parkour
In a new YouTube video from robotics company Boston Dynamics, which Alphabet sold to SoftBank last year, a robot is shown hopping over a log and then up a series of blocks, an activity called parkour. This two-legged robot, called Atlas, is the same one that was shown doing a backflip less than a year ago. The video is called "Parkour Atlas," in reference to a popular recreational activity among young people. In a 2007 New Yorker article, parkour is described as "a quasi commando system of leaps, vaults, rolls, and landings designed to help a person avoid or surmount whatever lies in his path." An earlier version of Atlas starred in the Darpa Robotics Challenge in 2015. Teams of researchers added their own technology to the robot, with varying degrees of success. » Subscribe to CNBC: http://cnb.cx/SubscribeCNBC About CNBC: From 'Wall Street' to 'Main Street' to award winning original documentaries and Reality TV series, CNBC has you covered. Some in Silicon Valley are even calling for a basic minimum income provided by the government for everyone, under the assumption that work will become scarce. But many economists are skeptical of these claims, because the notion that the the economy offers a fixed amount of work has been debunked time and time again over the centuries and current economic data show no signs of a productivity boom. Fortunately, we don't need to divine the future of the labor market in order to prepare for it. /// Vox.com is a news website that helps you cut through the noise and understand what's really driving the events in the headlines. Robot Soldier - Laputa - Castle in the Sky
The Laputian-bot (the Robot Soldier) from Castle in the Sky is, like nearly everything Miyazaki, a work of art. The Laputian takes out an entire castle in just a few minutes, has hundreds of soldiers on the run and its basically a broken shell of what it used to be which is why it is one of the top 10 greatest, most badass robots in animated films. See the rest of the best at http://www.snoutypig.com/2012/06/20/top-10-greatest-robots-in-animated-films/ and for more articles check out: http://www.snoutypig.com Music belongs to Metallica and the film belongs to Studio Ghibli. The clip is being used as part of a review under fair use law. With respect to the music: When this video was posted up, I was new to the whole fair use thing. At the time I was not sure if fair use meant we had to change the clip somehow so we changed something the music, because our emphasis wasn't on the film, wasn't on the sound, it was on the robot character itself and it was part of an article about robots. That's the reason. Our understanding has grown though so we would not repeat the past. Thanks for asking nicely, sorry it ruined it for you.

Making robotic car
Robot This article is about mechanical robots. For software agents, see Bot. For other uses of the term, see Robot (disambiguation). ASIMO (2000) at the Expo 2005 is a bipedal humanoid robot. Articulated welding robots used in a factory are a type of industrial robot The quadrupedal military robotCheetah, an evolution of BigDog(pictured), was clocked as the world's fastest legged robot in 2012, beating the record set by an MIT bipedal robot in 1989.[1] A robot is a machine—especially one programmable by a computer— capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically.[2] Robots can be guided by an external control device or the control may be embedded within. Robots may be constructed to take on human form but most robots are machines designed to perform a task with no regard to how they look. Robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous and range from humanoids such as Honda's Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility (ASIMO) and TOSY's TOSY Ping Pong Playing Robot (TOPIO) to industrial robots, medical operating robots, patient assist robots, dog therapy robots, collectively programmed swarm robots, UAV drones such as General Atomics MQ-1 Predator, and even microscopic nano robots. By mimicking a lifelike appearance or automating movements, a robot may convey a sense of intelligence or thought of its own. Autonomous thingsare expected to proliferate in the coming decade,[3] with home robotics and the autonomous car as some of the main drivers.[4] The branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots,[5] as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing is robotics. These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans in dangerous environments or manufacturing processes, or resemble humans in appearance, behavior, or cognition. Many of today's robots are inspired by nature contributing to the field of bio-inspired robotics. These robots have also created a newer branch of robotics: soft robotics. From the time of ancient civilizationthere have been many accounts of user-configurable automated devices and even automata resembling animals and humans, designed primarily as entertainment. As mechanical techniques developed through the Industrial age, there appeared more practical applications such as automated machines, remote-control and wireless remote-control. The term comes from a Czech word, robota, meaning "forced labor";[6] the word 'robot' was first used to denote a fictional humanoid in a 1920 play R.U.R.(Rossumovi Univerzální Roboti - Rossum's Universal Robots) by the Czechwriter, Karel Čapek but it was Karel's brother Josef Čapek who was the word's true inventor.[7][8][9] Electronics evolved into the driving force of development with the advent of the first electronic autonomous robots created by William Grey Walter in Bristol, England in 1948, as well as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools in the late 1940s by John T. Parsons and Frank L. Stulen. The first commercial, digital and programmable robot was built by George Devol in 1954 and was named the Unimate. It was sold to General Motors in 1961 where it was used to lift pieces of hot metal from die castingmachines at the Inland Fisher Guide Plant in the West Trenton section of Ewing Township, New Jersey.[10] Robots have replaced humans[11] in performing repetitive and dangerous tasks which humans prefer not to do, or are unable to do because of size limitations, or which take place in extreme environments such as outer space or the bottom of the sea. There are concerns about the increasing use of robots and their role in society. Robots are blamed for rising technological unemployment as they replace workers in increasing numbers of functions.[12] The use of robots in military combat raises ethical concerns. The possibilities of robot autonomy and potential repercussions have been addressed in fiction and may be a realistic concern in the future. Summary KITT (a fictional robot) is mentally anthropomorphic. iCub is physically anthropomorphic. The word robot can refer to both physical robots and virtual software agents, but the latter are usually referred to as bots.[13] There is no consensus on which machines qualify as robots but there is general agreement among experts, and the public, that robots tend to possess some or all of the following abilities and functions: accept electronic programming, process data or physical perceptions electronically, operate autonomously to some degree, move around, operate physical parts of itself or physical processes, sense and manipulate their environment, and exhibit intelligent behavior, especially behavior which mimics humans or other animals.[14][15] Closely related to the concept of a robot is the field of Synthetic Biology, which studies entities whose nature is more comparable to beings than to machines.
