Setting up a Block Explorer for your coin
This follow up tutorial goes over the process of setting up an Iquidus block explorer for your coin. I didn't mention it during the video, but in case it isn't obvious you can use the instance that the block explorer talks to as a bootstrapping node and kill two birds with one stone. Blockchain tutorial 27: Bitcoin raw transaction and transaction id
This is part 27 of the Blockchain tutorial. This tutorial explains: - What Bitcoin raw transaction is. - Shows an example of a raw transaction using the very first transaction on the Genesis block. - What the difference is between big endian and little endian. - What a satoshi is. - What a Bitcoin transaction id or hash is and what its purpose is. - How to calculate the transaction id. In this video series different topics will be explained which will help you to understand blockchain. Bitcoin released as open source software in 2009 is a cryptocurrency invented by Satoshi Nakamoto (unidentified person or group of persons). After the introduction of Bitcoin many Bitcoin alternatives were created. These alternate cryptocurrencies are called Altcoins (Litecoin, Dodgecoin etc). Bitcoin's underlying technology is called Blockchain. The Blockchain is a distributed decentralized incorruptible database (ledger) that records blocks of digital information. Each block contains a timestamp and a link to a previous block. Soon people realises that there many other use cases where the Blockchain technology can be applied and not just as a cryptocurrency application. New Blockchain platforms were created based on the Blockchain technology, one of which is called Ethereum. Ethereum focuses on running programming code, called smart contracts, on any decentralized application. Using the new Blockchain platforms, Blockchain technology can be used in supply chain management, healthcare, real estate, identity management, voting, internet of things, etcetera, just to name a few. Today there is a growing interest in Blockchain not only in the financial sector but also in other sectors. Explaining how Blockchain works is not easy and for many the Blockchain technology remains an elusive concept. This video series tries to explain Blockchain to a large audience but from the bottom up. Keywords often used in Blockchain conversation will be explained. Each Blockchain video is short and to the point. It is recommended to watch each video sequentially as I may refer to certain Blockchain topics explained earlier. How to Build a Blockchain
Let’s look at how to build a blockchain. Blockchain is used by the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin’s price has been growing rapidly, Bitcoin is a very volatile investment. The incentives that blockchain brings to Bitcoin is that blockchain allows for a decentralized collection of data whose integrity is easily verifiable, and the data itself is immutable. In this tutorial, we are going to look at how to build a blockchain using JavaScript. You could also build a blockchain in python or java. What is HYPERLEDGER SAWTOOTH - Hyperledger Explained 🚀 Blockchain Course ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Take your Blockchain FREE Online Course at https://courses10.com In this video I introduce you what is Hyperledger Sawtooth. If you want to learn more, I highly recommend this reading: https://blockchain10.org/hyperledger-sawtooth/ Introduction Hyperledger Sawtooth is definitely an enterprise blockchain platform for building distributed ledger applications and systems. The look philosophy targets keeping ledgers distributed and making smart contracts safe, designed for enterprise use. Sawtooth simplifies blockchain database integration by separating the main system in the application domain. Application developers can specify the company rules suitable for their application, while using language of the choice, without requiring to understand the actual style of the main system. Sawtooth can also be highly modular. This modularity enables enterprises and consortia to create policy decisions that they're best outfitted to create. Sawtooth’s core design enables applications to find the transaction rules, permissioning, and consensus algorithms that support their own small business. Sawtooth is definitely an free project underneath the Hyperledger umbrella. For information about how to lead, see Join the Sawtooth Community. About Distributed Ledgers A “distributed ledger” is yet another term for any blockchain. It distributes a database (a ledger) of transactions to any or all participants inside a network (also known as “peers” or “nodes”). There's no central administrator or centralised data storage. Essentially, it's: Distributed: The blockchain database is shared among potentially untrusted participants and it is demonstrably identical on all nodes within the network. All participants have a similar information. Immutable: The blockchain database is definitely an unalterable good reputation for all transactions that utilizes block hashes to really make it simple to identify and stop tries to affect the history. Secure: All changes are carried out by transactions which are signed by known identities. These functions interact, together with agreed-upon consensus mechanisms, to supply “adversarial trust” of all participants inside a blockchain network. Distinctive Options that come with Sawtooth Separation between your application level and also the core system Sawtooth makes it simple to build up and deploy a credit card applicatoin by supplying a obvious separation between your application level and also the core system level. Sawtooth provides smart contract abstraction that enables application developers to create contract logic inside a language of the choice. A credit card applicatoin could be a native business logic or perhaps a smart contract virtual machine. Actually, both kinds of applications can co-exist on a single blockchain. Sawtooth enables these design decisions to make within the transaction-processing layer, which enables multiple kinds of applications to appear in exactly the same demonstration of the blockchain network. Each application defines the custom transaction processors because of its unique needs. Sawtooth provides several example transaction families for everyone as models for low-level functions, for example maintaining chain-wide settings and storing on-chain permissions, as well as for specific applications for example performance analysis and storing block information. Transaction processor SDKs can be found in multiple languages to streamline development of new contract languages, including Python, JavaScript, Go, C , Java, and Rust. A provided REST API simplifies client development by adapting validator communication to plain HTTP/JSON. Private systems using the Sawtooth permissioning features Sawtooth should solve the difficulties of permissioned (private) systems. Clusters of Sawtooth nodes can be simply deployed with separate permissioning. There's no centralized service that may potentially leak transaction patterns or any other private information. The blockchain stores the settings that specify the permissions, for example roles and identities, to ensure that all participants within the network have access to these details. Parallel transaction execution Most blockchains require serial transaction execution to assure consistent ordering each and every node around the network. Sawtooth includes a sophisticated parallel scheduler that splits transactions into parallel flows. In line with the locations in condition that are utilized with a transaction, Sawtooth isolates the execution of transactions from each other while keeping contextual changes. Whenever possible, transactions are performed in parallel, while stopping double-spending despite multiple modifications towards the same condition. Parallel scheduling supplies a substantial potential rise in performance over serial execution. Event system Hyperledger Sawtooth supports creating and broadcasting occasions.
