10 Of The Most Evil School Teachers Ever

Going to school five days a week can be difficult on both students and staff, but what if it were the teachers causing the headaches? While there are certainly good teachers, there are also bad teachers. Dishing out ridiculous punishments, verbally and physically abusing students and even sedating their snacks, these teachers are downright evil. Being in school can be tough enough on its own; bullies, homework, cafeteria food. But what if the teachers are the problem? While the majority of teachers are there to do their jobs and set good examples, there are always exceptions. Here are ten of the most evil teachers. When seven-year-old Ukailya Lofton, came in for picture day at Overton Elementary School in Chicago she didn’t expect her teacher to poke fun at her. The little girl had seen a new style in a magazine and asked her mother to attach Jolly Rancher candies to her hair for the picture. Her computer teacher apparently thought the look was ridiculously funny and asked the girl to pose for a photo, saying “my husband is not going to believe this.” She later posted the photo on Facebook, where her friends mocked the little girl. When Ukailya’s mother was made aware of the photo, she notified the school. The teacher apologized, but not to the little girl directly. In December 2015, at an elementary school in Stoneham, Massachusetts, twenty-six second grade students went home in tears. The substitute teacher, who was hired through a staffing service, apparently told the children that there was no Santa Claus. Days before winter break, the sub told the young children, “Santa Claus is just a character. There’s no such thing as Santa Claus and it’s your parents who buy all the presents for you.” When parents and other teachers found out what had happened, the sub was banned from the school. Welsh primary school teacher Elizabeth Davies had a very humiliating practice in her classroom. She would spray her Asian students with air freshener and have them wash their hands with pine disinfectant. Before spraying her young students, she would tell them they smelt of curry and that there was a “waft coming in from paradise.” More than fifty percent of the school’s pupils are of Bangladeshi descent. Davies would also spray them if they broke wind and make them stand on newspapers if they accidentally wet themselves. She was subsequently fired for her actions. Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson

11:07
Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson Take the quiz - http://www.learnex.in/articles-a-an-the/ The 3 articles in English are a, an and the. The learner has to decide noun-by-noun which one of the articles to use. In fact, there are 4 choices to make, because sometimes no article is necessary. Native-speakers, of course, use the articles correctly without thinking. English learners, on the other hand, need to have some guidelines for making the right choice - particularly those learners whose own language does not have articles. The guidelines that follow in this lesson should help ESL students to a basic understanding of English article use. The words a, an and the are known as articles. • We use an before words that begin with vowels (a,e,i,o,u). E.g. I found an orange boat. However there are few exceptions like the words honest and hour. In the words honest and hour the alphabet h is silent and therefore the letter o becomes the first alphabet of the word and hence we use the article an. E.g. Mr. Smith is an honest man. I will be with you in an hour. We use a before words that begin with consonants (all the letters of the alphabet except the vowels). E.g. Bumble is a baby elephant. • We use the before words that we have already spoken about. E.g. I bought an apple. The apple is very sweet.

10 Teachers Behaving Badly

06:05
Top 10 of the worst teachers doing bad things to their students and classroom. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like The Talko: The Worst Wedding Dresses Ever https://youtu.be/k_BXolrizfI 10 Shocking Teacher Student Affairs https://youtu.be/paK8zq1wCBw Description: For most of our childhood and adolescent years, we spend a great deal of time being instructed by teachers. Years of schooling expose all of us to dozens of teachers and professors who have the task of giving us a variety of skills and preparing us to enter the world. For many of us, school and the teachers who work there provide a good experience which gives us valuable life skills and helps create friendships which can last a lifetime. For others, it’s a time to forget, a place where you learn that certain subjects are brutally hard and some teachers are very difficult to work with. Taking on a career as a teacher can be a challenging and, at times, largely thankless job. Spending hours a day trying to coral hyper and moody kids can be like trying to herd cats. If you are successful one day then you have to repeat the process all over again the following day. The job doesn’t stop once the work day ends either. Teachers always have to spend considerable time at home marking and preparing for the coming days. When you do a good job teaching, you rarely get any accolades because that’s what people expect. Look out if you do a bad job however. Frustrated parents and angry kids love using teachers as scapegoats for their own shortcomings. Sometimes, however, the teacher really is at fault. Like any profession, there are always bad people who are employed. Sometimes, the teacher is so bad at what they do or they have done something so terrible that the teacher in question should probably think about finding another job. These types of teachers are classified as ‘bad’ for a variety of reasons. Some are just in it for the paycheck – they could care less about whether your kid learns anything. Others have burned out and lost the drive they had when they started teaching. Still other teachers go above and beyond to act inappropriately and do things in the workplace that would make your jaw drop. These are the teachers that make the actual headlines because what they have done is so over the line that they can’t even see the line anymore. The following video looks at 10 of the worst teachers ever. This list goes beyond that homeroom teacher who assigned extra homework over the weekend or made you stay behind after class because you didn’t do your work. Instead, what you’ll find ahead are teachers that are so bad they get fired, deserve to get fired or have even been put in jail for what they did in the classroom. From abusing students to coming to class drunk, there’s even a teacher who hired a goon squad to teach one of her students a lesson. It’s almost insane enough to make you forget that most teachers are sane and decent people. We tend to think of teachers as people who don’t put a lot of focus into their looks and are more worried about educating the future of the world. In fact, there are running jokes dedicated to how teachers are usually less attractive than the general population. However, just as the population is diverse in their looks, so are teachers. While it seems that “hot” teachers are rare, they do exist. Yet, it seems that if we are blessed with a good looking teacher, it actually might be more detrimental to the students’ grades. Instead of being focused on their studies, you may have students who are playing out fantasies in their heads and imagining things about their teacher that we dare not elaborate on. Are Students Juuling in Your Classroom?

03:58
JUULing and other forms of vaping have become extremely popular among teenagers. JUULs are tiny and look more like computer thumb drives than cigarettes, which makes them hard for teachers to detect. Also, they come in different flavors and don’t emit much vapor. These devices contain a lot of nicotine and can disrupt a classroom, and students’ learning, in serious ways. Education Week’s Kavitha Cardoza has some tips on how educators can recognize JUULing and what they can do about it. The Constitution, the Articles, and Federalism: Crash Course US History #8

13:04
In which John Green teaches you about the United States Constitution. During and after the American Revolutionary War, the government of the new country operated under the Articles of Confederation. While these Articles got the young nation through its war with England, they weren't of much use when it came to running a country. So, the founding fathers decided try their hand at nation-building, and they created the Constitution of the United States, which you may remember as the one that says We The People at the top. John will tell you how the convention came together, some of the compromises that had to be made to pass this thing, and why it's very lucky that the framers installed a somewhat reasonable process for making changes to the thing. You'll learn about Shays' Rebellion, the Federalist Papers, the elite vs rabble dynamic of the houses of congress, and start to find out just what an anti-federalist is. High School Journalism Teacher Suspended After Standing Up for Student Reporters' Free Speech Rights

07:05
Administrators at one California high school reacted in all the wrong ways when student reporters tried to write a newspaper article about the recent dismissal of a popular teacher and debate coach. San Gabriel High School principal Jim Schofield sent an email telling newspaper adviser Jennifer Kim to kill the story and suggested running a fluffy profile piece instead. Kim backed her students when they wanted to fight for their right to publish, and she was later suspended and remains on indefinite administrative leave. Officials from San Gabriel High and the Alhambra Unified School District declined to comment. The free speech rights of public high school students can be a complicated matter, so Reason TV brought in Ken White, a First Amendment attorney, blogger at Popehat, and Reason contributing editor, to parse some of legal issues. He says that although the Supreme Court and California law offer some guidance, he's concerned about an educational environment in which administrators model anti-speech values. "I worry about a generation of kids whose rights have not only been taken away but who have been taught by overcautious school administrators to scorn rights, to not believe in them, and to question them," says White. The only way you will ever need to teach theme

07:00
More on my blog: http://guidingontheside.blogspot.com/ Broken down into the cognitive steps, students can determine theme with the support of modeling and collaboration. This video shows the strategy for introducing the concept (even though kids in 8th grade were exposed WHAT theme is in prior years, I never assume they were taught HOW to figure it out). After doing this strategy with passing the paper and creating multiple themes, it is simply a matter of reminding students throughout the school year that in order to determine theme you just need to follow these basic steps.

A Japanese Method to Develop Creativity in Kids

Japanese people are known for their intelligence, politeness, and wellness. Why is this nation so unique and different from the rest of the world? It seems we’ve found the answer – they have an incredibly cool education system and unique teaching methods! There is a unique method in Japanese schools for developing creativity in kids. We believe that the whole world needs to adopt it! It’s called “Nameless paints.” In this video, we'll tell you how it works. Watch till the end – there is a small but brilliant bonus for you. As you can see, the spots are also different sizes. - In Japanese schools, students don’t take any exams until they reach grade four (the age of 10). The goal for the first three years of school is not to judge the child’s knowledge, but to establish good manners and to develop their character. - While most schools in the world begin their academic year in September or October, in Japan, it is April that marks the start of the academic and business calendar. The first day of school often coincides with one of the most beautiful natural phenomena — the time of cherry blossom. - In Japanese schools, students have to clean the classrooms, cafeterias, and even toilets all by themselves. Most Japanese schools do not employ janitors or custodians. - All classmates eat in their classroom together with the teacher. This helps build positive teacher-student relationships. - To get into a good junior high school, most Japanese students enter a preparatory school or attend private after-school workshops. - Japanese calligraphy, or Shodo, involves dipping a bamboo brush in ink and using it to write hieroglyphs on rice paper. - While some schools have their attire, traditional Japanese school uniform consists of a military style for boys and a sailor outfit for girls. - At the end of high school, Japanese students have to take an exam that determines their future. A student can choose one college they would like to go to, and that college has a particular score requirement. - Having gone through ‘examination hell,’ Japanese students usually take a little break. In this country, college is often considered the best years of a person’s life. Sometimes, Japanese people call this period a ‘vacation’ before work. This game style of teaching grammar allows all students to be active and participate equally in the class. All students, no matter their level of English can master the game and have success. Students also follow the rules, apply the rules, and resolve any conflicts. Students cheer on their classmates and learn to be good sports. And most of all they have fun learning grammar.

California Voters to Decide How Schools Teach English-Learners

07:11
In California, nearly 1 in every 4 children don't speak English fluently. That's almost 1.5 million students. How to best teach them is a topic of great concern among educators, because children who are learning English struggle more in school, trailing behind classmates who speak English in every academic measure. On Election Day, California voters will decide whether to overturn a longstanding policy of teaching these children in English-only classrooms, or whether to embrace bilingual forms of teaching that show more promising outcomes for children over the long run. Education Week Correspondent Kavitha Cardoza reports on the ballot question before voters, how the research and pedagogy have evolved around teaching English-learners and the value of bilingualism. For more info, check out this article on Edweek.org: http://www.edweek.org/ew/articles/2016/10/12/bilingual-education-poised-for-a-comeback-in.html This video originally aired on PBS NewsHour on November 1, 2016 ____________________ Want more stories about schools across the nation, including the latest news and unique perspectives on education issues? 10 School Punishments That Went Too Far

04:25
10 Most extreme school punishments by the worst teachers ever! Subscribe: https://goo.gl/Hnoaw3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: When in school, children learn a variety of things from math and science to reading and writing. However, school is also needed to help children with other important skills. They learn how to communicate properly and how to be disciplined students. An individual’s education is very important in life and that’s why we need the best educators as well. What do teachers and principals do to discipline students then? Spanking and hitting children with rulers happened years and years ago. At least we hope so. Most schools nowadays discipline their students with timeouts, detentions, and suspensions. It all depends on the child’s age. What happens if the consequences are worse than detention? Even if we live in the 21st century, cruelty in some schools has not changed. It’s so shocking to see students being treated like this during their education. From putting a child in a duffle bag to having students eat off the floor, you will be very surprised by these bizarre punishments. We might live in a very modern age, but there are still terrible educators who think cruel actions are the answer to discipline our children. Here are 10 school punishments that just went way too far. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheTalko Twitter: https://twitter.com/thetalko Instagram: https://instagram.com/the_talko ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.thetalko.com/
