IATA Dangerous Goods Air Shipper Training Requirements (IATA DGR 1.5)
If you ship hazardous materials (aka dangerous goods or DG) by air, US DOT and most major air carriers require you and your staff to complete training on additional requirements for hazmat air transport. These unique, additional rules are found in the International Air Transport Association’s Dangerous Goods Regulations manual, known as the IATA DGR for short. Compliance with the 58th edition of the IATA DGR is mandatory as of January 1, 2017. (Save $10 and get free shipping when you pre-order before October 15, 2016 here: https://goo.gl/xcWbC1) The IATA DGR requires hazardous materials air shippers to complete training once every 24 months. US DOT requires hazmat training for all “hazmat employees” once every 3 years. Find convenient, effective hazmat training workshops, online courses, and webinars at Lion.com/Hazmat-Training.
