Incentive Pay
Incentive compensation plans represent the best, most consistent method to pay for performance, enabling an organization to deliver targeted results while rewarding employees who are responsible for those results. Incentive plans can be designed to focus on three levels of performance: individual, team and organization. Individual incentives are the most prevalent, and they have been used for many years. At the same time, increasing numbers of organizations are recognizing team and group incentives as an effective way to build cooperation and reward teamwork. Team and group incentive plans will incorporate the same design parameters as plans for individuals, but they have the added complexity of measuring performance for a group of individuals rather than just one person.

How Can Medicare Physicians Get MIPPA e-Prescribing Incentive Payments?
http://electronichealthrecordrescue.com/health-care-news/how-can-medicare-physicians-get-mippa-e-prescribing-incentive-payments/ If you did not do e-Prescribing by June 30, 2011, read article 'MIPPA e-Prescribing Incentive Program: How to Avoid Medicare 2011 eRx Penalty?' http://electronichealthrecordrescue.com/health-care-news/mippa-e-prescribing-incentive-program-how-to-avoid-medicare-2011-erx-penalty/ You only have until November 1, 2011 to apply for the penalty exemption! The government gives and the government takes. The MIPPA (Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008) program was designed to provide rewards for physicians who participate in Medicare over a 5 year period. The incentive percentages for the remaining years, 2011 thru 2013, are: 1%, 1%, 0.5%. Like the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act or HITECH Act EHR incentive program, there are both rewards for compliance and penalties for non-compliance. How do I submit e-Prescribing Incentive Claims? You must submit prescriptions using standalone e-Prescribing software or certified electronic health record system. You must e-prescribe using cpt code G8553 G-code G8553 must be reported on a line item with a charge of $0.00 However, the total charge for the claim must NOT be $0.00 What is code G8553 and when do I report it? G8553 indicates that at least one prescription created during the encounter was generated and transmitted electronically using a qualified eRx system. The eRx G-code G8553, which supplies the numerator code must be reported with specific denominator billing code(s) that represent the eligible encounter Consult CMS.gov e-prescibing for more details on the Medicare eRx incentive program. But if you use the right software, it should be painless to get your e-Prescribing incentive money. Contact Sandra Noble at 404-374-3384 or http://ElectronicHealthRecordRescue.com

Referral Incentive Program
Offering incentives for customer referrals can benefit your homebuilder marketing strategy—if you do it carefully. It’s a good low-cost way to generate qualified business leads, and you can reward existing clients for their loyalty at the same time. You have to take care, however, that your referral programs are structured in such a way that they don’t devalue referrals by becoming just an income-generating practice for customers. It has to be about saying thank you, not about the money. Why You Need a Referral Program Referrals are a vital aspect of bringing in new business leads for homebuilding companies. Direct referrals have tremendous value, and satisfied customers are your best sales people. As such, they deserve to be treated well, and a formal incentive program is a good way to do so. Allocating some of your homebuilder marketing dollars to protecting this valuable lead pipeline is a good reason to implement a real, incentivized referral program. Types of Incentives The type of incentives offered by homebuilding companies varies. You can choose to offer a token gift or you can present a sizeable payment. One company offers $5 Starbucks cards for referrals to potential clients, and in 2012 created a program that pays between $50 and $200 for referrals leading to contracted projects depending on their value. In addition, all referrals are entered into a biannual prize draw, which gives winners a choice between an iPad Mini valued around $400 or a ‘carpenter for a day’ for the same value. This covers up to 8 hours of labor, which can be used for a small home improvement project or applied as a credit towards a larger project. Construction firms offer incentives that range from a check for $1,000 for a referral to build a new home, through a gift certificate for a local restaurant for remodeling projects and a container of mixed nuts from Costco for general contracting referrals. Making it Work For a referral program to be effective it’s essential that you manage it correctly. Your incentives are less likely to work if they’re viewed in the wrong light, which could include: Seeing a sizeable financial payment as some form of a bribe Viewing a discount on products or services as a “trick” to get more business Considering a small incentive as “too easy” to earn (Starbucks gift cards sometimes elicit this reaction) If you can get the balance right, however, your referral program can deliver value for your homebuilder marketing strategy and help make your company the first choice for your clients. You might never know whether referrals are motivated by the program or simply by good service, but either way by thanking customers it will build on your branding and keep you top of mind with them. The point of offering referral incentives is to make it worth your customer’s time and effort to recommend you, without giving away too much of your profit in the process.

Individual vs. Team Incentive Programs
Individual Pay for Performance systems are great, but they can lead to pitting one team member against to another, if you're not careful. It's a good idea to mix in some team incentive programs that lead to a culture of team, not just "what's in it for me".

Starting The Quality Payment Program and Merit Based Incentive Payment System or MIPS in 2017!
Will you watch this video to learn about the Quality Payment Program and Merit Based Incentive Payment System or MIPS? The purpose of The Quality Payment Program is delivery of high-quality patient care enabling the use of a variety of tools for physicians report data to CMS and receive valuable feedback about their practice. Clinics can choose the The Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or the Advanced Alternate Payment Models (APMs) which is mostly limited to larger practices with an accounting department. MIPS replaced PQRS, Meaningful Use, and Value Based Modifier. Clinics with less than or equal to $30,000 in Medicare Part B allowed charges OR less than or equal to 100 Medicare patients are not required to participate. If your practice is above this threshold, not participating in the Quality Payment Program for the transition year will result in a negative 4% payment adjustment which in plain english sounds like a $1,200 minimum fine at $30,000 billed! If this sounds a bit confusing and you would like help getting started, would you contact [email protected] or call/text 612-432-2366 and request a Chiropractic MIPS Training Package for $299 because this will make getting started easy?
