In this video I talk about how you can lodge grievance against your problem/LOCAL LIC Office with higher level officers of Life Insurance Corporation of India and then with Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority of India aka IRDAI?
You can file your complaint for following policy types:
* Conventional Life Insurance Policy
* Health Insurance Policy
* Pension Policy
* ULIP i.e. Unit Linked Insurance Policy related issues like Forfeiture Of Premium Not Communicated To Policyholder, Foreclosure Notice Not Given, Disputes Concerning The Limits Of Expenses Including Deductible, Disputes Concerning Switching, Disputes Concerning Pre-existing Illnesses Not Covered, Disputes Concerning Policy Privileges Denied, Disputes Concerning Nav, Complaints Related To Improper Allocation Of Units And Claim Benefit Excluded Due To Policy Definition.
Your complaint type can be:
* Death claims - Investigation not completed / Claim not paid / Non-payment of penal interest / Repudiation of claim / Requirement in respect of death claim not raised by insurer.
* Advertisement regulation violation.
* Complaint raised with insurer not addressed.
* Violation of IRDA regulations/Guidelines.
* Policy Servicing - Alteration In Policy Not Effected, After Submission Of All Reinstatement (Revival) Requirements, There Is No Response From The Insurer, Auto Cover Continuation Option Not Effected, Dispute Concerning Statement Of Account Or Premium Position Statement, Insurer Failed To Send Lapse Intimation, No Response For Noting A New Nomination, No Response For Recording Change Of Address, Non-receipt Of Premium Receipt, Notice Of Assignment Or Nomination Change Not Acknowledged, Payment Of Premium Not Acted Upon Or Wrongly Acted Upon, Policy Benefit Option Not Effected, - Policy Conversion Option Not Effected, Premium Payment Position Statement Not Received, Reinstatement Denied, Reinstatement Requirements Raised By Insurer Not Acceptable, Statement Of Account Not Received, Response For Processing Or Payment Of Policy Loan Is Not Sent, Response For Noting An Assignment Is Not Sent, Requirements For Revival Not Communicated Or Raised, Request For Servicing Branch Transfer Is Not Effected And Reinstatement Requirements Raised By Insurer Not Acceptable.
* Proposal Processing - Further Requirements After Receipt Of Proposal Not Raised Or Communicated, Mistake In Age / Date Of Commencement / Date Of Maturity (Dom) / Dolp / Others / Name Of The Nominee/ Beneficiary / Term Of The Policy / Any Other Policy Schedule Item / The Name And Address Of The Insured, Mode Of Payment Not Shown Correctly, Next Premium Due Is Not Shown Correctly And Wrong Policy Bond Is Issued.

* Unfair Business Practices - Advice concerning Exclusions/limitations of cover not communicated, Annuity/Commutation/Cash Option /Rider/other Options not included as requested, Credit/Debit card debited without consent of
Consumer, Do Not Call Registry, Free-look refund not paid, Illegitimate inducements offered, Intermediary did not provide material information concerning proposed cover, Misappropriation of premiums, Mode of premium payment differs from requested
or disclosed, Premium paying period projected is different from
actual, Product differs from what was requested or disclosed, Proposed Insurance not in the interest of proposer, Single premium Policy issued as Annual premium policy, Surrender value projected is different from actual, Tampering, Corrections, forgery of proposal or related papers, Term (Period) of the policy is different/altered
without consent and Spurious Calls.
