Environmental conservation and natural resources depend on protecting our planet. http://YourEarthSafe.com Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing at all! At YES that's exactly what we do: we protect parcels of virgin wilderness by purchasing them on the free market and placing them in an independently managed international land trust safe from human exploitation. YES is a tool that allows you to become the beneficiary of virgin wilderness (generically referred to as "Land Unit") to help preserve them in their natural state thus allowing you to collaborate in the conservation of the planet. However small it might be, all contributions to environmental protection are always helpful. By joining YES you as an individual are contributing in a very real way to maintaining the global ecosystem, protecting the globall community and letting nature take its course.

Useful for CBSE, ICSE, NCERT & International Students Grade : 10 Subject :Biology Lesson :Our environment Topic: Conservation and Protection of Environment Conservation is defined as judicious use to avoid wastage of materials and degradation of environment. Conservation of environment involves the conservation of the natural resources. The non-renewable resources have to be conserved as they cannot be replenished. The reserves of the resources such as fossil fuels are limited and man is heavily dependent on these resources for his day to day needs. The renewable resources too have to be judiciously used. Though they are replenished, they are subjected to a lot of pollution that renders them useless. Respect for the environment: Protection and Conservation | Christoph Kiessling | TEDxSOAS

15:18
Population boom is a worrying phenomenon, especially in Africa and Asia. Humans are devastating natural habitats. Civilisation and industry are replacing wild environments and bringing animals to extinction. Here is to the importance of education, awareness and conservation carried out by modern zoos, that are so involved with research projects, protecting endangered species and raising awareness. Every one of us should be involved to create a better future: loving, respecting and caring, committed in everything that we do and knowing that it is our responsibility to actively protect our planet and all its inhabitants. Christoph Kiessling is the President of Loro Parque Fundación (LPF), an organization founded in 1994, for the conservation of animals and biodiversity, aiming to protect endangered species around the planet. Research, responsible breeding and activities with local communities are a part of LPF’s program. The foundation is proud to have helped 9 species of parrots from extinction. It also maintains the World’s largest parrot genetic reserve, partly on exhibition at Loro Parque (Tenerife, Spain). Christoph Kiessling is also Vice President of Loro Parque and CEO of Siam Park, respectively Nr.1 zoo and Nr.1 waterpark in the World, according to Tripadvisor. Loro Parque group recently opened the aquarium Poema del Mar in Gran Canaria, Spain, in line with the group’s mission to educate and actively protect this amazing blue planet we live in. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

So, if economics is about choices and how we use our resources, econ probably has a lot to say about the environment, right? Right! In simple terms, pollution is just a market failure. The market is producing more pollution than society wants. This week, Adriene and Jacob focus on the environment, and how economics can be used to control and reduce pollution and emissions. You'll learn about supply and demand, incentives, and how government intervention influences the environment. Crash Course is on Patreon! Learn about the impact of tourism on the environment, sustainable tourism, the different types of nature tourism that exist and the strategies that you can apply to contribute to the protection of the environment. Tourism involves the movement of large numbers of passengers. In 2020 there will be more than 1600 million arrivals in Europe. This journey has negative consequences on the environment. Negative consequences for the environment: - Impact on soil and spaces: urban speculation. - Impact on social and intangible assets: Changes in customs or traditions - Impact on the use of resources: Unhealthy environment; Concentration of people; Loss of biodiversity What direction should I take? Principles sustainable tourism: - The benefits will be the common good of the local community. - Search for environmental prestige - Improve environmental quality - Manage and plan tourism development without creating socio-cultural and environmental problems. - Exploit resources without compromising their future Different types of nature tourism - Tourism in Nature: Nature is only the circumstantial setting for the activity - Nature Tourism: Uses environmental elements for sporting, recreational or adventure activities. - Ecotourism: Nature is the main reason for the trip. Awareness with natural and cultural values Resources. "Biosphere Reserves": UNESCO establishes Biosphere Reserves, linking a number of geographical areas that are representative of different habitats on the planet (ecosystems undisturbed by human action). Threat. "More tourism in protected areas": The most protected spaces (National and natural parks, nature reserves, sites of community interest, etc.) have become the main destinations for nature tourism, due to their conservation guarantees. Protection. "European Charter": The European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas (EUROPARC 2007) aims to encourage good practice by recognising protected areas, which are meeting agreed requirements. From meeting the food needs of a growing population to reducing carbon emissions resulting from transportation, environmental challenges are faced at both a global and local level and require a holistic approach to research. Interdisciplinary teams here at the University of Sheffield are working innovatively to develop new models, technology and systems to help companies reduce their environmental footprint as well as understand the public's level of acceptance of these new practices. Areas of research expertise explored in this film include the sustainable design of buildings, the 'greening' of the supply chain and the development of electric vehicles.

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization releases the Global Forest Resources Assessment report – known as FRA - every 5 years, using data collected by member countries on their forests and the impact they have on the environment. FAO has designed a new field method for reliable data collection which is now being tested in forests in Vietnam. The launch of this year’s Global Forest Resources Assessment Report – which covers the last 25 years of forest changes – will highlight the need for continued efforts to sustain forest management for the benefit of current and future generations. © FAO: http://www.fao.org Follow #UNFAO on social media! * Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/UNFAO * Google+ - https://plus.google.com/+UNFAO * Instagram - https://instagram.com/unfao/ * LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/fao * Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/faoknowledge

Save Environment - Cel Animation, Animated Short Story, video,Film for kids and all

01:51
In this video you will learn about "Global Warming" with the help of cel animation. Carbon di oxide, nitrous oxide, Methane, etc are the gases responsible for the greenhouse effect. However, because of increase in pollution, carbon di oxide levels are increasing rapidly. Because of increasing vehicles as well as factories contains high levels of carbon di oxide and methane in air. Trees are responsible for absorbing carbon di oxide and maintaining its balance in the atmosphere. However, human beings are cutting down trees for roads, buildings, industries etc. for development. This results in an increase in average temperature of the earth and the earth becomes hotter and hotter. This is called "Global Warming". If we do not take steps to reduce global warming, it will lead to loss of humans, plants, animals and our earth will not be a beautiful place to live in anymore. World Environment Day also called ECO Day. This is the animated short story for kids and for all. Save our Earth by Grow more and more plants to save Earth. World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise Global Awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. This day is observed to create Global awareness about environmental problems the world or a specific country is facing. Due to global warming our environment is changing. "Global warming is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to effect of green house gases, such as carbon dioxide, emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise escape from Earth". We can change our Environment by growing more and more plants & trees. So please make a resolution on this World Environment Day. Environment is the major part of your life, THINK ABOUT IT! 31st Anniversary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (Speech)

50:49
Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, Quezon City July 4, 2018 President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the 31st founding anniversary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) at the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) Amphitheater, Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife in Quezon City. The President, together with DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu, led the ceremonial awarding of land titles under the Handog Titulo Program to the representatives of 75 beneficiaries in Metro Manila. The celebration had the theme, ‘Ikaw, Ako, Tayo ang Kalikasan’, putting emphasis on everyone's responsibility to prevent and protect the environment from damage. In his speech, the Chief Executive sent a strong warning against open-pit mining operations. “There will be a time, I still have time left, that I will have to ban open-pit mining,” said the President, further stressing that the practice is destroying the lands and creating landslides near the area of open-pit mining operations. DENR Secretary Cimatu, in his welcome remarks, praised the lawmakers who authored Republic Act 11038 or the Expanded National Integrated Protected Areas System (E-NIPAS) Act that seeks to strengthen the government’s goal to protect the environment by providing mobilization of resources and the preservation and sustainability of the ecosystem by allowing more room for technical and scientific support. “The E-NIPAS Law has added 94 additional legislated protected areas all over the Philippines, and in short, better conservation and protection measures in our protected areas,” Secretary Cimatu said. To further demonstrate the DENR’s thrust, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by Secretary Cimatu turning over the 871,453 board feet of confiscated lumber to Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) Head, Secretary Eduardo Del Rosario, for the rehabilitation of Marawi City. Former DENR Secretaries also attended the ceremony, commemorating the agency's major milestones since its reorganization into a Department in 1987. Nearing the end of the program, President Duterte led the celebratory singing for Secretary Roy Cimatu’s birthday. *** Connect with RTVM Website: http://rtvm.gov.ph Facebook: www.facebook.com/presidentialcom and www.facebook.com/rtvmalacanang Twitter: @RTVMalacanang Google+: google.com/+RTVMalacanang

Some natural resources like soil, air and water and how various components are cycled over and over again in nature. In the previous chapter we also learnt about the pollution of these resources because of some of our activities. In this chapter, we shall look at some of our resources and how we are using them. May be we should also think about how we ought to be using our resources so as to sustain the resources and conserve our environment. We shall be looking at our natural resources like forests, wild-life, water, coal and petroleum and see what are the issues at stake in deciding how these resources are to be managed for sustainable development. We often hear or read about environmental problems. These are often global-level problems and we feel helpless to make any changes. There are international laws and regulations, and then there are our own national laws and acts for environmental protection. There are also national and international organisations working towards protecting our environment.

What do environmental policy, the war on drugs, economics, subsidies and modern music have in common? Learn Liberty professors have addressed all these topics and more. What sorts of countries cut down all their trees, pollute without thinking, and wipe out their animals? Prof. Antony Davies and many other professors have studied the best way to protect the environment, among other questions with the objective of finding out how to improve society. These professors discuss the sorts of rules that should be instituted to protect our environment. They have found over an again that economic freedom is the best indicator for environmental protection. Economic freedom enables people to make their own decisions, and countries with more economic freedom—rich and poor alike—take the best care of their natural resources. Have you also thought about these questions? Have you wondered how we can make society a better place? You may find the videos and other resources available through Learn Liberty helpful as you consider these issues and many others.
