How to Find a Supplier on Alibaba & Find a Chinese Manufacturer
This video tutorial will teach you how to find a supplier on Alibaba & find a Chinese manufacturer. ►► Free Ebook - Make $10,000/Month Online: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Here are our step-by-step instructions on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Step 1: Go to Alibaba and find the search bar. Type in the name of a product that you are interested in selling. In this video I used vitamin pills as an example. Step 2: Because a lot of suppliers have duplicate listings on Alibaba for the same item (because it increases their presence in the Alibaba search engine) you will need to filter the results by clicking on “browse by suppliers.” Step 3: To filter the results down further, search by “Gold Suppliers.” Most suppliers will do this because it has become basically a prerequisite for having new buyers contact them. It doesn’t cost them much money to do this, so the results will only be filtered by a small amount. Step 4 (OPTIONAL): If the list of suppliers is still too long, then click to filter the results by “assessed supplier.” This is only necessary in very popular niches where you have a large number of suppliers that you need to filter down to a manageable amount. Step 5: Contact 10-20 suppliers at least. If you have time, then contact more. The more you contact, the better. Here is the email template referenced in our video tutorial on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: "My name is [INSERT NAME] from [INSERT BUSINESS NAME]. Our company director asked me to contact your company about working together on a lucrative, long-term venture. We are a company that sells products related to [INSERT NICHE HERE] and we do over 2 million dollars in sales each year. We’re looking to expand our product range and create a profitable partnership between your company and ours. We are planning to purchase [INSERT ITEM] to our product line. It would need to meet these specifications: * Specification (e.g size) * Specification (e.g. quantity) * Specification (e.g. colour) We have been researching different companies in China that manufacture [INSERT ITEM] and we think that your company could be a great supplier for it. We would like to get some more information and have a few questions that we would like you to please answer: * Can we please get a sample of the product as soon as possible. Can you please let us know how much you will charge for the sample, including Express shipping to [INSERT COUNTRY], zip code [INSERT ZIP CODE]? We would like to pay with PayPal. * How long will it take to receive the sample? * What types of packaging do you usually use for this product? * How long does it take to manufacture once an order has been placed? * What is the product-per-unit cost including shipping via Air Express to the United States, ZIP code 85043? * Do you accept PayPal for the full-order?" We would be very grateful if you would contact us with answers to the above questions as well as any additional policies that we may need to know. We would also like to discuss with you further about doing a sample order for the product. We are hopeful that we can start a mutually beneficial relationship. Please add me on Skype and talk to me, as this is my ideal form of communication: [INSERT ID] Alternatively you can email me back at this address: [INSERT ADDRESS] Kind regards, [NAME]” Here are some final tips to keep in mind when you are looking to find a supplier on Alibaba to manufacture your Amazon FBA private label products: Tip #1 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Don’t judge the supplier/manufacture by their Alibaba response rate. The Alibaba response rate only takes into account how fast they respond within Alibaba’s email system, and it doesn’t take into account how fast they reply to personal emails. This is not a good indicator of how responsive they will be to private communication, which is all you should care about. Tip #2 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Avoid manufacturers that try to vet your business. If a manufacturer comes back and starts asking questions about your business, clearly skeptical of the size of your company, it is best to move on. Manufacturers that do this will usually decline to work with you as they are only to work with other large companies, so you don’t want to waste your time. Tip #3 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: It is OK to work directly with a sales rep - if they offer you a better deal. When you are looking to find a supplier on Alibaba, you’ll discover that sales reps often have inflated prices (due to commission cuts). But occasionally, a sales rep will have a better relationship with a factory and so are able to negotiate lower prices. They will also often have good english, making communication easier. Vet sales reps and treat them as equals during the process of picking and choosing the right supplier.

Registration of company in china not set for limit of capital chinese economy business
In China, the Company Law stipulates that all enterprises, foreign-invested or otherwise, must register a fixed level of operational capital with the relevant authorities—deemed the company’s “registered capital”—as part of the basic corporate establishment process. Owing to strict foreign exchange controls, a foreign company’s registered capital is often the only funds it has access to for paying its operational expenses prior to becoming cash flow positive. This core piece of information is contained within a company’s articles of association and printed on its business license, making it somewhat burdensome to modify. Nevertheless, for a variety of reasons, it is sometimes necessary (or beneficial) for a company to increase or decrease its registered capital. Doing so requires filing an application with the original Administration of Industry and Commerce (AIC) of registration, with the procedure strongly differing between an increase or decrease. Like other types of company registered information (name, business scope, etc.), changes of registered capital are publicly accessible via AIC records. Until recently, foreign investors were required to carefully estimate the amount of registered capital needed, as they were obliged to pay in the total amount within two years. However, pursuant to the revised Company Law implemented on March 1, 2014, the time-frame for capital contributions has been eliminated, as well as any minimum levels of registered capital. Therefore, investors may now decide on both the amount of registered capital (also called “subscribed capital”) and the period of capital contributions; however, these remain contingent upon approval from local government authorities. Suggestions on Cosmetics Registration in China
0:20 Special cases--toothpastes and soaps 1:15 Trademark protection If you're a Canadian SME and have questions about doing business in China, please send us your questions by email at [email protected] All services of the Trade Commissioner Service are FREE of charge to qualified Canadian clients. Script: The definition of cosmetics is different all over the world. In China, toothpaste is not regarded as cosmetics, so the pre-market registration is not required for toothpaste. Another special case is for soaps. So far, the pre-market registration is not required for soaps, but some ports in China will request to provide CFDA license to past the port inspection and quarantines. If you want to sell your (soap) products in the shopping malls and supermarkets, the CFDA license will be requested. So we normally suggest our clients to register soaps with CFDA especially if they want to sell them in shopping malls and supermarket. We’ve got some complaints from our clients that they could not sell their products in the China market, despite that they got CFDA license, because their trademark had been registered by another company in China. So another important thing for the foreign manufacturers is to fulfill the registration of the original and Chinese trademark before or during the process of the registration (with CFDA).

5 Mistakes New Importers Make When Importing Products from China
Discover the 5 mistakes new importers make when they are importing products from China. Don’t make the same mistakes! Get our free ebook: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Freightos: http://wholesaleted.com/go/freightos First mistake importers make when importing products from China: Assuming that shipping by sea will be the cheapest option A lot of new importers think they will save money if they ship by sea rather than air. On the surface it seems cheaper as importers usually pay around 60 cents/KG when shipping via sea, compared to the $7/KG when shipping by air courier. Unfortunately what they don’t realize is that the reason it’s that cheap is because when shipping via sea, you ship via container, and you need to rent an entire container. They are very large and require you to be shipping hundreds of KGs to be making it worth your time. If you are an Amazon private label seller, you are unlikely to have enough stock being shipped to fill a container by at least 60-70% so it will be cheaper to ship by air. When shipping by air, you have two options: 1) Air freight 2) Air courier Air courier is when you have your items shipped door-to-door. It is the easiest but the most expensive per KG (although in smaller quantities it is cheaper). Air freight is when you have your items flown from one airport to the other. You will need to organize other additional services: * Having the items delivered to the airport * A customs broker * Having the items delivered from the airport to the final location. There are a lot of fixed fees with this which means it becomes cheaper to use air freight with larger quantities. To figure out which option will be cheaper for you, I recommend using Freightos. Second mistake importers make when importing products from China: Not using the Metric system In China, they use the Metric system and not the Imperial system. So be sure to use KGs instead of lbs and CM instead of inches. It’s important to remember that when working with Chinese suppliers that they expect you to work on their terms and their timeframes. It can be frustrating, but it’s worth it for the cheap Chinese products you import! Third mistake importers make when importing products from China: Using Less than Container Load for shipping When shipping by sea, you have two options: 1) FCL which stands for Full Container Load 2) LCL which stands for Less than Container Load Inexperienced importers fall for the trap of shipping with LCL because they see that the price are extremely cheap. What they don’t realize is that these LCL companies have special deals with the ports to charge you extremely high Destination Service Charges. The LCL companies then make their money in the form of a “rebate” which is essentially commissions/kickbacks. Destination Service Charges are usually priced per-container and cost between $500-$1000 per container for ports in the USA. But when shipping by LCL you end up paying a high fee per cubic meters. It means that you often end up paying a fee comparable to shipping an entire container. Don’t fall for this trap: If you can’t break even with FCL, then ship by air. Fourth mistake importers make when importing products from China: not calculating the correct duties you will need to pay When you import products from China, you will need to pay duties at the border. If you don’t calculate the correct rate you can get a shock if it comes back as more than you expected. Duties can be a bit complicated to work out because there are a lot of variables. For example, if you imported woolen jackets, you need to consider which country the wool came from, as some countries (like Israel) have duty-free agreements over wool, which would reduce the duties you had to pay. On the other hand if synthetic fibres were used instead of pure wool, then your duty rates would be higher since there are higher duties applied to synthetic fibres within the USA. To figure out what your duty rate is, find out what the HTS (Harmonized Tax System) code is for your item. To find this, ask your Chinese supplier as they will most likely know. You can then go through the HTS manual and find what the duty rate is for the HTS code of your products. Fifth mistake importers make when importing products from China: being afraid to make mistakes And finally - don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Through making mistakes you learn how to overcome them the next time and make even more money. Mistakes are apart of entrepreneurship. Learn from others - and learn from your own as well!

The main difference from other WFOE’s is that you need an Import & Export License to establish a Trading WFOE. So what defines a WFOE? The unique feature of a WFOE is that the entity is 100% owned and capitalized by foreign investors and operating without a local (Chinese) partner. This maintains greater control over your businesses operations, targets and profits of the company, allowing the mother company to concentrate on its own operations. WFOE is the favorable option for an overseas company that wants to permanently incorporate into mainland China. Foreign Investors generally establish a business presence in China in one of five ways: 1. Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE); 2. Partnership Enterprise (PE) 3. Representative Office; 4 . Joint Venture; and 5. Hong Kong company. Company Registration Services: RMB 100,000~ RMB 500,000 (approx. 10,000 ~ 50,000 EURO) is the minimum registered capital for Consulting, Service or Hi-Tech WFOE registration in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen. Different cities of China have different policies on minimum registered capital, please contact a Path To China office at the bottom of the page for practical advice if you are planning to incorporate a WFOE in China. Advantages of WFOE The advantages of incorporation a WFOE, compared with other types of enterprises, include, but not limited to: Independence and freedom to implement the worldwide strategies of its parent company without having to consider the involvement of the Chinese partner; Ability to formally carry out business rather than just function as a representative office and being able to issue invoices to their customers in RMB and receive revenues in RMB; Capability of converting RMB profits to US dollars for remittance to its parent company outside of China; Protection of intellectual know-how and technology; For Manufacturing WFOE, no special requirements for Import / Export license for its own products; Full control of human resources Greater efficiency in operations, management and future development. Business Scope According to WFOE regulations, "Foreign investors are permitted to setting up a 100% foreign owned enterprise in industries that are conducive to the development of China's economic benefits, and not prohibited or restricted by China government." The Catalogue of Guidance to Foreign Investment" categorises fields of potential investment as "prohibited," "restricted" and "encouraged". It is advisable to fully comprehend the interpretation of these categories. In China, Business scope of a business is a "one sentence description" covering all of the present and future activities of the WFOE; it is essential this encompasses every envisaged scope of future activity. The WFOE can only conduct business within its approved business scope, which ultimately appears on the business licence. One of the most important issues in WFOE application is business scope. Any amendments to the business scope require further application and approval. Business scope of a company in China is not as broad and general as in other countries. Generally business scope includes investment consulting, international economic consulting, trade information consulting, marketing and promotion consulting, corporate management consulting, technology consulting, manufacturing, etc. After China's entry into WTO, more and more business is open to WFOE especially in Trading, Wholesale and Retail business, check the Catalogue of Guidance to Foreign Investment which was Amended in 2007.

Reasons to incporporate in Shanghai | Why to start a business in Shanghai? | WFOE
Reasons to incorporate in Shanghai | Why to start a business in Shanghai? | WFOE | Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise Some of the reasons why you should start a company in Shanghai are: 1. English - Shanghai locals speak better English than other parts of China. Government officials in Shanghai can speak English too. They at least can communicate and understand you. This is a very important reason because as a businessman you don't want to be spending a lot of time and effort to learn Chinese. Of course, knowing Chinese important too, but if your primary focus is business, then you don't have much time to learn Chinese, and Shanghai, therefore, should be your place of incorporation. 2. Startup community - Shanghai is full of startups - both local and foreign. There are so many incubators and accelerators in Shanghai that help you grow - Chinaccelerator - most recognized accelerator of China is located in Shanghai. Also, XNode, Mailman, 23seed, Innospace+, and Shanghai Valley are all located in Shanghai. All of them support foreign startups. You can't literally find this aspect in other parts of China. 3. Office space for only 6000 RMB. This is our offer to startups. We already have a 7 floor building in Songjiang district of Shanghai, so we have a lot of space to rent. That's why the cheap price. You can try to rent an office yourself, but the prices are very high in all the cities of China. 6000 RMB is close to 1000 USD, and that's very cheap. If you want to rent an office yourself, starting prices in Shanghai city center are 12000 - 15000 RMB. It will be wise to rent in the city center when your business has grown a little, but as a startup, where you're required to a physical office while registering your company, that's the way to go - register a company with 6000 RMB a year with us, then get an office of your dream later on, when your business has grown a bit. 4. Incorporation costs - our price is only 20 000 RMB, which includes 1 year office space rental + annual accounting fees. Again, we guarantee that this is the cheapest deal you can find. Most of the incorporation agents give you 20K RMB for only helping you register a company - excluding office rental and accounting. You can google and see yourself. Our accountants are highly qualified and I personally suggest you go with this offer, because especially if you're new in China, it's time consuming to find a good accountant and an office, plus as I mentioned, they are not this cheap. Quite the opposite actually. ----------------------- Shanghai Silk Road International Trading Co., LTD is a trading and business consulting company based in Songjiang, Shanghai. First Opium War - Trade Deficits and the Macartney Embassy - Extra History - #1
The British Empire's grasp on the Americas was slipping right at the time when they needed those resources most. The massive amounts of tea they imported from China had created a huge trade deficit, but the Chinese were reluctant to let any Europeans trade outside of the Canton port strictly controlled by the Hong. So Britain sent a formal embassy led by Earl George Macartney. Other wars had also cost them their access to the silver mines of South America, which had been helping fund so much of their trade with the Qing Dynasty of China. European traders all wanted greater access to China, but the Emperor was wary of letting outsiders too far into his country and kept them all penned up at the port of Canton, which was strictly regulated by the Hong business group. A flourishing blackmarket trade grew, but Britain wanted more. One trader, acting on his own initiative, grew bold enough to approach Beijing and attempt to get a hearing over his trade grievances, but the Chinese considered this a huge breach of protocal and an offense to the Emperor. Britain had to do something, however: they imported over 10 million pounds of tea each year, equal to 10% of the government's annual spending, and the fact that China did not have anywhere near as great an interest in British products meant that they were running an enormous trade deficit they could no longer sustain. The Crown appointed an official envoy, Earl George Macartney, with orders to end the Canton system, establish an embassy, and acquire rights to an island that would be under British control in the same way that the Porutuguese controlled Macao. The mission failed spectacularly. Although Macartney got permission to sail north and meet the Qianlong Emperor in his summer palace at Jehol, he refused to perform the traditional kowtow which was required upon meeting the Emperor. He presented gifts from the British court, but the Chinese interpreted these gifts as tribute, not trade enticements, and decided they had no need for nor interest in what he offered. Since he failed to get them to agree to any of his three requests, Britain wanted to find another way to address the trade imbalance with China. Soon, this would lead them to start bringing in opium. ____________ ♪ Get the intro music here! http://bit.ly/1EQA5N7 *Music by Demetori: http://bit.ly/1AaJG4H ♪ Get the outro music here! http://bit.ly/23isQfx *Music by Sean and Dean Kiner: http://bit.ly/1WdBhnm
