9 Brain Exercises to Strengthen Your Mind
How to improve your improve your memory, sharpen your attention and focus, and boost your brain health? These gymnastics for the brain were developed by Yoshiro Tsutsumi, a Japanese researcher and author of the book Finger Self-Massage Yoshiro Tsutsumi. Starting From Scratch. The set of simple exercises described in this work focuses on improving general well-being and supporting brain health. If you repeat this short finger workout on a daily basis, the stimulation traveling from your fingers directly to your brain will help to rejuvenate your body and make your brain more efficient. Each fingertip has more than 3,000 mechanoreceptors, which act as a highway to your brain (particularly its sensory cortex). When you do a finger workout, you improve synapse connections and fire neurons, which is great for the functioning of your brain. TIMESTAMPS: Exercise #1 1:39 Exercise #2 2:45 Exercise #3 4:01 Exercise #4 5:03 Exercise #5 6:41 Exercise #6 7:06 Exercise #7 7:29 Exercise #8 8:42 Exercise #9 9:02 #brainexercises #memoryimprovment #brainhealth Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - #1. Repeat this exercise 15 times. Your breathing should be a bit faster than usual. The most important thing is to do the exercise smoothly and not to hurry. Try not to lower your hands, and coordinate your movements and breathing. - #2. Repeat each movement at least 10 times. Your breathing should be rhythmical, and your fingers should be spread as much as possible. - #3. Repeat these movements at least 10 times. Make sure you bend and straighten each finger thoroughly and completely. - #4. When the brain ages, your memory, attention span, and concentration weaken. Luckily, this finger workout can help you deal with this problem. The following exercises will help you improve your memory. - #5. First of all, tightly press together the fingertips of your thumb and index finger on your right hand. You should slightly curve the uppermost part of your index finger. Repeat this exercise 20 times for each hand. - #6. With the fingertip of the thumb on your right hand, press down on the bottom of your right index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and pinky in turn. You should apply effort to do this exercise. After you repeat this motion 20 times, do the same for your left hand. - #7. As you've probably understood, your brain is tightly connected to your hands. Since most people have one dominant hand, the brain hemisphere connected to this hand is more developed than the other one. Thus, lefties have a more active right hemisphere, and right-handed people enjoy a more developed left hemisphere. To activate both hemispheres, you can try the following exercises. - #8. Try to perform everyday activities like brushing your teeth, eating, opening doors, or writing with the help of your nondominant hand. This can develop new connections between the 2 hemispheres of your brain and encourage the activity of the less vigorous hemisphere. - #9. Start to write by hand more. This activity provides perfect brain stimulation and improves neuroplasticity. Specialists recommend this method to patients who suffer from memory issues or dementia. Qualitative analysis of interview data: A step-by-step guide
The content applies to qualitative data analysis in general. Do not forget to share this Youtube link with your friends. The steps are also described in writing below (Click Show more): STEP 1, reading the transcripts 1.1. Browse through all transcripts, as a whole. 1.2. Make notes about your impressions. 1.3. Read the transcripts again, one by one. 1.4. Read very carefully, line by line. STEP 2, labeling relevant pieces 2.1. Label relevant words, phrases, sentences, or sections. 2.2. Labels can be about actions, activities, concepts, differences, opinions, processes, or whatever you think is relevant. 2.3. You might decide that something is relevant to code because: *it is repeated in several places; *the interviewee explicitly states that it is important; *you have read about something similar in reports, e.g. scientific articles; *it reminds you of a theory or a concept; *or for some other reason that you think is relevant. You can use preconceived theories and concepts, be open-minded, aim for a description of things that are superficial, or aim for a conceptualization of underlying patterns. It is all up to you. It is your study and your choice of methodology. You are the interpreter and these phenomena are highlighted because you consider them important. Just make sure that you tell your reader about your methodology, under the heading Method. Be unbiased, stay close to the data, i.e. the transcripts, and do not hesitate to code plenty of phenomena. You can have lots of codes, even hundreds. STEP 3, decide which codes are the most important, and create categories by bringing several codes together 3.1. Go through all the codes created in the previous step. Read them, with a pen in your hand. 3.2. You can create new codes by combining two or more codes. 3.3. You do not have to use all the codes that you created in the previous step. 3.4. In fact, many of these initial codes can now be dropped. 3.5. Keep the codes that you think are important and group them together in the way you want. 3.6. Create categories. (You can call them themes if you want.) 3.7. The categories do not have to be of the same type. They can be about objects, processes, differences, or whatever. 3.8. Be unbiased, creative and open-minded. 3.9. Your work now, compared to the previous steps, is on a more general, abstract level. You are conceptualizing your data. STEP 4, label categories and decide which are the most relevant and how they are connected to each other 4.1. Label the categories. Here are some examples: Adaptation (Category) Updating rulebook (sub-category) Changing schedule (sub-category) New routines (sub-category) Seeking information (Category) Talking to colleagues (sub-category) Reading journals (sub-category) Attending meetings (sub-category) Problem solving (Category) Locate and fix problems fast (sub-category) Quick alarm systems (sub-category) 4.2. Describe the connections between them. 4.3. The categories and the connections are the main result of your study. It is new knowledge about the world, from the perspective of the participants in your study. STEP 5, some options 5.1. Decide if there is a hierarchy among the categories. 5.2. Decide if one category is more important than the other. 5.3. Draw a figure to summarize your results. STEP 6, write up your results 6.1. Under the heading Results, describe the categories and how they are connected. Use a neutral voice, and do not interpret your results. 6.2. Under the heading Discussion, write out your interpretations and discuss your results. Interpret the results in light of, for example: *results from similar, previous studies published in relevant scientific journals; *theories or concepts from your field; *other relevant aspects. STEP 7 Ending remark Nb: it is also OK not to divide the data into segments. Narrative analysis of interview transcripts, for example, does not rely on the fragmentation of the interview data. (Narrative analysis is not discussed in this tutorial.) Further, I have assumed that your task is to make sense of a lot of unstructured data, i.e. that you have qualitative data in the form of interview transcripts. However, remember that most of the things I have said in this tutorial are basic, and also apply to qualitative analysis in general. You can use the steps described in this tutorial to analyze: *notes from participatory observations; *documents; *web pages; *or other types of qualitative data. STEP 8 Suggested reading Alan Bryman's book: 'Social Research Methods' published by Oxford University Press. Steinar Kvale's and Svend Brinkmann's book 'InterViews: Learning the Craft of Qualitative Research Interviewing' published by SAGE. Text and video (including audio) © Kent Löfgren, Sweden

Everybody would picked up the hand if results were giving away. But it’s not many of those who picks up their hand, if it takes responsibility, if it takes to roll up the sleeves and do what is often not comfortable, but what is necessary to achieve desired results… In today’s time of instant soups, microwaves, instant coffee, instant messaging, Internet and instant downloading, as well as movies where the plot is resolved instantly within two hours, there is not enough of those who have the courage to embark on the arduous path of commitment, which builds the character of the man himself as well as his pernament success. https://www.zivotbezhranic.cz/zamerujete-se-vice-na-vysledky-nebo-na-ciny-a-zvyky/

Blood Doping VS Sleeping at Altitude (& my results)
My full article on altitude training here: https://www.bikechaser.com.au/news/altitude-training/ Blood doping versus sleeping at altitude. Who wins the battle? In this video, I compare blood doping with sleeping at altitude. Notably, how you go about blood doping - including EPO (Erythropoietin), blood transfusions, and synthetic blood carriers - and the impact this in terms of pros and cons. Conversely, I do the same for sleeping at altitude - which could include sleeping in an altitude tent, setting up your room at altitude, or living at altitude. The pros of both are the increase you get in pcv / hematocrit and ultimately haemoglobin. As haemoglobin is the protein that carries blood to the working muscle, I focus more on haemoglobin during this discussion than hematocrit, as hematocrit is the source to more oxygen-carrying haemoglobin! I also share my blood test results. I conclude with how this would be relevant to the general health and well-being sector, and of course, endurance and race against the clock sports, such as cycling road racing, Iron Man, triathlons and time trial. A Unique Article Wizard Review, Tutorial & Results
https://goo.gl/gBu88P Learn how to use UAW most effectively POST penguin to get your content to rank in the search engines.... Learn The Most Popular And Effective Article Marketing Tips With Unique Article Wizard It's very hard to make it in an online business if you're not willing to put in the research to figure out how to approach things like article marketing. You need traffic online, so remember that sham techniques and encompassing social approaches just don't work for specific markets. Ignore the one-size-fits-all marketing approach you think works, and use this advice to correctly advertise in your market. No matter what you're writing about in order to market your site, your article never has to be really long. In fact, you should strive to keep your articles at right around 400-800 words. Content is about getting the attention of the reader, not losing it in fluff and stories that just won't end. Save that for your Great American Novel. Avoid using "marketing language" within the article itself. Articles should focus on some aspect of your market in general rather than directly pitching a product or service. The place to get your marketing in is in your short call to action at the end of the article. If the content of the main article is congruent with the call to action, the reader is more likely to buy. Use specific, concrete words in your title. Your article's title should concisely describe what the reader can expect to learn from the article. An example of a bad title might be "Working at home," while a much better title for the same article might be "How to Make Money in Your Spare Time Writing Article Marketing Tips on Amazon Mechanical Turk." In this Unique Article Wizard review, you have just learned how to properly use article marketing to your advantage. Some things you didn't see here include encompassing approaches like gonzo adverts and sweeping social media campaigns. That's just not how targeted advertizing works. Make sure that you follow this advice and increase your customer base. Steps to success: 1) Create an article (recommended to use Article Builder) https://goo.gl/xFHdMCr 2) Spin with The Best Spinner https://goo.gl/8Mhs8D 3) Submit to UAW https://goo.gl/gBu88P 4) Repeat for multiple keywords! http://youtu.be/8oJf-Y0Dn2c Please note: The creator of this video may receive financial compensation for actions resulting from this video. How do I evaluate my search results?
So you've started your research in the library catalog or your choice article database. You have a great list of results but now what? How do you navigate through your results list to find the best resources for your project? This tutorial will walk you through the types of resources you might find in your results list and will help you identify when these resources would be the most useful. The first thing to remember is that the library catalog and article databases are not like Google. The first item that shows up in your results list may not always be the most relevant to your topic. You may need to scroll through your results list to find the best resource for your project. Once you find a great resource, remember to use subject headings to find more items like this. When starting your research, ask yourself: 1. When was the source published and how does this affect its usefulness for your purpose? 2. What type of audience is the author addressing, specialized or general and how does this impact your use of the source? 3. How extensively does the source cover the topic? Is the information appropriate for your project? Is it either too simple or too complex? Too broad or too specific? Let's take a closer look at each type of resource to see where it falls. Sometimes a source will indicate that it is a "review". Other times you'll need to dig a little deeper to determine the item is a review. Reviews of books and media can be helpful to give you an overview of what the item is about, give background on the author, and will sometimes identify strengths and weaknesses of the work. These can be helpful in determining if the item will be a useful source for your paper. If it looks good, search for the item by title in the library catalog to find out if it is available in the library. Unless your assignment specifically calls for book reviews, it is best to locate the item itself to use in your project. Journal and magazine articles have a specific focus and present the most current information. There are three categories of article publications: scholarly or peer-reviewed journals, popular magazine, and trade publications. Scholarly or peer-reviewed articles are often indicated as such in the library catalog and article databases. These articles are written for scholars with terminology related to the field. They are reviewed by a panel of scholars in the field for accuracy. Scholarly articles general come with footnotes and or references at the end of the article. For more information on scholarly or peer-reviewed articles, please see our tutorial on "what is a scholarly journal article?" Popular magazine articles are written with a more general audience in mind. These articles are reviewed by a single editor. References may or may not be included at the close of the article. Trade publications contain industry specific information, written by people who work in that particular industry for others who work in the industry. Articles from trade publications are also vetted by a single editor. Books are great sources for a broader look at an issue. Chapters of books or book indexes can also be used to find information on a specific topic as well so if you're having trouble finding information on your topic, sometimes broadening your search terms and looking at books can help. Books generally have a longer publication cycle than articles and thus may not be as current as articles. Reference sources such as encyclopedias are a great source of information to get you started on your research. Reference sources are written by subject experts and are helpful to consult before starting your research to get background information on your topic and keywords for your searches. Remember, as you go through your results list consider: 1. When was the source published? 2. What type of audience is the author addressing, specialized or general? 3. How extensively does the source cover the topic? These questions will help you determine how useful the resources is for your project. If you still have questions, click on the "ask us" link to email, chat with or text a librarian.

DISCLAIMER: We are not doctors, nor experts on fasting. We do not recommend anyone do a medically unsupervised water fast. If we had not been in Northern Spain when Lou got injured, he would have gone to True North Health Center (https://www.healthpromoting.com/) in California to do his water fast with the support of their medical team. If you are under 18 years old, on medication, addicted to any substances, have currently or had a history of eating disorders, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have heart problems or any other diseases it is even more important that you seek the advice of a medical professional before attempting a water fast on your own. It might sound really crazy to you, but Lou did a 7 DAY WATER FAST! If you've never heard of a water fast, it is very simple: don't eat any food or drink anything other than pure filtered water for a specified amount of time, so for Lou that was one entire week without any food, no coffee, no tea, no lemon water, no juice, or vitamins - just plain filtered water and rest. You might be familiar with the trendy diet called Intermittent Fasting. Here people only eat in a certain window of time (16 hr fast/9 hr feed or 14 hr fast/10 hr feed) and while this has lots of touted health benefits, Lou was in need of relief fast from a horrible back injury and decided he'd do whatever he could to get results quickly as possible. One of the main benefits of fasting is the body's ability to reduce inflammation. Instead of spending lots of energy digesting food, the body can now work to rebuild the immune system and while there still aren't many long term trials of fasting's effects on humans, science is showing that fasting can be used to help treat a whole host of problems like heart disease, diabetes, some cancers, high blood pressure, and autoimmune diseases. Over 6 years ago Lou was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks the joints, and over the course of the last few years has been able to get off medication and manage his symptoms with the help of a low-fat oil free plant based vegan diet. However, when he does stray from a health-promoting diet his RA symptoms do begin to resurface. So while we're not sure if his back injury had to do with his RA, either way, the autoimmune disease makes his healing process extremely slow. We live in a van, so being immobile was actually a very scary experience, and left Lou to embark on this water fasting journey. The before and after is astounding as his pain levels went from an 8 out of 10 to... well you have to watch for that! Before we get to the video, I just wanted to say that a lot of people come to water fasting searching for a quick fix for weight loss and I really recommend that you reconsider. Water fasting is a wonderful tool to manage health conditions with the help of doctor supervision, but when it comes to weight loss it might not be your most effective tool because if post fast you continue all the same habits you will be left in the same position. If you are searching for weight loss please research a low-fat plant-based diet, but mainly I want you to really think about where the desire to lose weight is coming from. Our society tells us constantly that we are not good enough and instead of buying into this lie, this might be the time you instead embrace yourself as you are. Focus on self-love, body-acceptance, and finding self-worth outside of ascetics. Diet culture is toxic, and while I know it's complicated for me to write about it as we are huge advocates for a low-fat vegan diet as its been an incredible tool to manage Lou's autoimmune disease, in the end, I want people to know that they are worthy as is. OPTIMISTS : Happy Idiots or Happy People? "Change Your Focus for Better Results"
Dianne's Blog: http://diannehanks.com FOLLOW me on TWITTER! http://twitter.com/DianneHanks CONNECT with me on facebook! http://www.facebook.com/people/Dianne-Hanks/511572837 ***************************** Some Video Highlights [:40] Article: "Change Your Focus For Better Results" http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/04/27/change-your-focus-for-better-results.aspx [2:09] "Optimism isn't something that you are necessarily born with. It is a skill you can learn." [2:26] Quote: "There are only idiots in the world. There are either happy idiots or miserable idiots. One are the optimists and the other are the pessimists." [2:52] My experience snorkeling in Hawaii.... http://www.hanaumabay-hawaii.com/progallery-1.htm [4:24] Disney's Nature "OCEANS" movie released on Earth Day [5:00] The miserable lady with a big snarl on her face that I met snorkeling... [6:50] The result of seeing the positive... [[7:06] When you have a rose....see the blossom, not the thorns [7:32] "I'm not saying that you need to be blind to all of those other things; acknowledge them, accept them, validate them, appreciate them, but then make a conscious choice to LOVE the good parts." [7:47] "There was a woman who, when she got married for the second time, she told her husband: "...80% of me is good and 20% of me is a work in progress; as long as you focus on the 80% that's good, we'll do great." ~Barbara Barrington Jones [8:10] "Most of us are mostly good, and we are a work-in-progress on the parts of us that we KNOW we need to overcome, but that is part if the reason I think of why we're here on the earth is to overcome and learn how to be more self-mastering." [8:25] "I think one of the greatest things that we can do to discipline ourselves and to learn that kind of self-mastery to become our highest self is to learn how to be optimistic and learn not just to see the best in ourselves but to see the best in others." [8:45] My student from Syria: Nahim Dahoch "You know, teacher, if I had teachers like you when I was growing up, I would probably be a doctor today." [9:12] "If you look at the bad in people and you focus on the bad in people, you're going to get the bad FROM people; but if you focus on the good in people, you're going to get the good from people. Don't you want that?" [9:34] "It's a really beautiful, blessed way to see the world, is to see what's great about it." [9:53] It takes five positives to just neutralize a negative. ***************************************** Are you OPTIMISTIC?? SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019
SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019 Are you new to SEO and want to rank #1 on google this upcoming year? Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings! #1: Focus on content Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won't do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough. You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, "This is the end all site "that you should end up reading "if you're interested in dating online." #2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there's this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag. And the description below is called the meta description. Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don't see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result? Well if you are, there's something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn't related to what you're looking for? In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn't in the title or description? That's because Google tracks who's clicking on what listing, and they've learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you're searching for, they know you're way more likely to click through. So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can't just add the keyword, "online dating," right? The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put "online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating." If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks. But it's not that simple. Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn't flow in a sentence, it's not easy to read, and it's not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through. #3: Use Google Search Console Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it's called Google Search Console. If you're not already a user of it, sign up. It doesn't cost a dollar. You're missing out if you're not using it. I can't emphasize that enough. So now that you're using Google Search Console...give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You'll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions. Take all the keywords you're getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy. Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day. The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn't 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500. I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what? My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn't happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That's not a long time. Now that you've learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. Because if you're not doing well, that means I'm not happy. Limiting search results to a specific age group in CINAHL or MEDLINE
Both CINAHL and MEDLINE allow you to limit your results to articles that focus on a particular age group such as infants, adolescents, adults, etc. You can search them individually, together, or in a group of several databases (this video shows searching CINAHL by itself) [Note: this video has music but no talking] Here are the steps shown in the video: 1. From the Library’s home page (www.siskiyous.edu/library), click on the A-Z List of Databases in the left sidebar 2. Open CINAHL by clicking on the on- or off-campus links (depending where you are) 3. Type in your search terms and click Search 4. Scroll down to the Age limiter in the left sidebar and click on it 5. Choose the age group(s) that you are interested in (you can choose more than one) 6. You will now have fewer results but they will be relevant to the age group(s) you have selected Music: "Feelin Good" by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) / Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100475 / Artist: http://incompetech.com/

After documenting and researching over 50,000 coaching interactions in the workplace, Bill Eckstrom shares life-altering, personal and professional development ideas through the introduction of the “Growth Rings.” The rings illustrate how dangerous it can be to remain in a state of comfort and how being in discomfort is the only way to sustain growth. You’ll be amazed at the world-changing outcomes discomfort can have on your life and the lives of others. Bill Eckstrom is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, outdoorsman and father of three. With a passion deeply rooted in growth and development, Bill has always been fascinated by the role a coach has on the performance of individuals and teams. As a result, he founded the EcSell Institute whose sole focus is to educate, track and measure coaching effectiveness for leaders within organizations around the world. This has led to hundreds of keynotes, published articles and e-books created from the research and documentation of coaching interactions and outcomes. Chicken Cordon Bleu Puff Pastry Wrap The French phrase "cordon bleu" translates as "blue ribbon" in English and was once a byword for the best dishes from the best kitchens. The cordon bleu schnitzel was probably developed in Switzerland in the 1940s — this baked chicken recipe has proved itself a timeless classic, which can still be adapted creatively for today's ever-adventurous appetites. Get the full recipe & instructions here: https://youtu.be/eXlxl6bcsTE 2. Bacon & Cheese Surprise We all know it's what's inside that counts. But with this tasty treat that's not the whole story, because it comes with an enticing bacon topping as well. Having said that, the baked pastry ring still has something special within — both inside the pastry and inside the circle. Get the full recipe & instructions here: https://youtu.be/c7f7LL1TqRs 3. Zucchini & Smoked Salmon Rolls Smoked salmon and cream cheese is a classic combination that marries the understated saltiness of the fish with light buttery smoothness. Get the full recipe & instructions here: https://youtu.be/InK4MXOKC7I 5. Beef Wellington Ring The origin of this ingenious recipe for beef lovers is a little controversial. We already know that beef or filet wellington is about 100 years old and is a variation on a French dish. But the form in which this tasty creation wrapped in puff pastry is presented today might surprise even connoisseurs of this classic. Get the full recipe & instructions here: https://youtu.be/KJqkjE1JJmo 6. 4-In-1 Puff Pastry Roll Up Are you dying to serve a finger food that's more than just an appetizing snack? Vert Shock Results & Review (Honest/Brutal)
Right so having completed Vert Shock and seen a fraction of the gains that were promised to me, here's a comprehensive review. I've also written this up in an article which can be found here http://9to5strength.com/vert-shock-vertical-jump-program-results-review-honest-brutal/ My main focus was on my standing vertical or "counter-movement jump" as that's a) hard to get wrong and b) easier to measure every week. My running vert was based on hanging a tape measure from the basketball hoop and seeing how short I can have it while still touching it. I did measure the hoop and it was exactly 10 feet, as i've seen videos where people were dunking on a 9ft 10 hoop and reporting false gains. The negatives of the program are: High volume could lead to injury unless experienced Said no equipment but need a 20m hill to sprint up Feel short-changed by the layout, with the Shock Phase looking very basic with next to no variation Online reviews and articles are suspiciously positive Website is packed with marketing techniques, which feels like he cares more about making money than genuinely helping people Minimal upper body work The positives of the program are: Felt more reactive off the ground and did jump higher Short workouts, 45 minutes max. A lot could be done in my garden or on a gym mat in the garage Each exercise is explained on the site so technique is aligned Emphasis on warm up and cool down Having not done a vert program before i'd rate Vert Shock 4.5/10. I think the price is too high for what it is and there's not much support for less experienced athletes to avoid injury. It promises dunking again and again yet in the fine print it says no guarantees. I am still 5 inches away from being able to touch the RIM and therefore about 13-14 inches from the promised dunk. The exercise selection and recovery times seems to have been given some thought but overall the whole thing is closer to a scam than an honest program.

In a clear signal that administrative reforms will be a key focus area in his second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to expand the policy of lateral entry into Indian Civil Services by increasing the intake of officers at the Joint Secretary from outside the system to at least 40 per cent, The Federal reported. In the current scheme of things, the joint secretaries posted in various administrative ministries in Delhi are largely drawn from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Despite facing stiff resistance from the entrenched bureaucrats, the Modi government hired nine lateral hires on contract at the level of joint secretary in various departments and ministries. The recruitment process was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and names of the nine selected candidate was announced this April. The selected joint secretaries recommended for lateral hiring are: Kakoli Ghosh (Agriculture, Co-operation and Farmers Welfare), Amber Dubey (Civil Aviation), Arun Goel (Commerce), Rajeev Saksena (Economic Affairs), Sujit Kumar Bajpayee (Environment, Forest and Climate Change), Saurabh Mishra (Financial Services), Dinesh Dayanand Jagdale (New and Renewable Energy), Suman Prasad Singh (Road Transport and Highways) and Bhushan Kumar (Shipping). The Modi government has been aggressively pushing the idea of infusing outside talent in a bid to increase subject matter expertise in administrative apparatus and usher in specialised niche skills in various government departments to improve governance delivery process. As per the thinking prevailing in the top echelons of the government, a judicious mix of regular all-India service officers with fresh talent from outside will help deliver better results. According to The Federal report, the Modi government is planning to recruit 55 officers equivalent to the rank of joint secretaries through the NITI Aayog instead of UPSC. Digital news portal The Print quoted highly-placed officials as saying that the government plans to advertise at least 50 positions in NITI Aayog at different levels, including directors, joint secretaries, additional secretaries, etc. In a departure from the current practice of hiring consultants on contracts NITI Aayog, the new posts would be at par with regular government servants. The recruited domain experts will draw a fixed salary of over Rs 3 lakh and appointment will be for a minimum tenure of five years. The new posts will enjoy parity with regular government servant positions to enable the lateral hires to carry sufficient weight within the system to influence policy prescriptions and participate in implementation . The proposed recruitment monitored by the Department of Personnel under the PMO. NITI Aayog is seeking talents from private sector to fill these posts. In the last decade, around 20 per cent of the sanctioned positions for Indian Administrative Service officers have been vacant. Lateral entry in Civil Services - IAS officer without clearing UPSC Exam? Good or Bad decision

Could CBD Make You Fail a Drug Test?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non psychoactive compound produced by the marijuana plant that seems to be everywhere these days. Maybe you’ve even been asked if you’d like it added to your morning cup of joe! THC, also marijuana-derived, is what gets people high and is screened for by drug tests.
