Connect Computer to TV With HDMI With AUDIO/Sound
This video will show you how to connect your computer to your television using an HDMI cord. You can use a PC to display audio and video on your TV and watch your favorite videos, movies or simply browse the web. I ran into a situation where I was unable to hear any sound from my TV speakers. I was also getting this error message that said my AMD HDMI Digital Output was "Not Plugged In" when it clearly was. This caused the HDMI playback device in sound options to be "greyed out" and I was unable to select it and set it as the default device. Sometimes updating your sound drivers, or rolling them back can fix any glitches you are having. After connecting the two devices, it is not uncommon for you to have to restart your computer for Windows to recognize the HDMI output. Thanks!

5 Ways to Add a Headphone Jack To Your Camera
Do you have a camera without a headphone jack? Today we will cover some options for monitoring audio without a headphone jack on any camera. All these solutions will work for most cameras including the very popular Sony a6500/a6300 and Panasonic G85. Option 1: Use a monitor Any HDMI monitor with a 3.5mm headphone jack will work. Here is the monitor I showed you on Amazon: http://geni.us/dc50 Also consider the amazing SmallHD Focus Monitor: https://youtu.be/bL0WnYT--l0 Or check out my video on budget monitors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta-9zY23KaE Option 2: HDMI Dongles Using one of these HDMI to VGA adapters will give you a 3.5mm headphone jack. First dongle I showed on Amazon: http://geni.us/gwAU3Z3 Small HDMI dongle on Amazon: http://geni.us/zQrq To get the smaller dongle to work with the camera, I used an HDMI adapter which you can find here on Amazon: http://geni.us/paJS8z Option 3: Preamp/Audio Adapter You can find my review of the preamp adapter I talked about here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGSpUgE0qP0 Option 4: Audio Recorder Simple setup here. Mic to recorder, monitor with the headphone jack. I really dig the Zoom H1 if your on a budget, otherwise I really love the MixPre-3 with you can find on Zoom H1 Recorder on Amazon: http://geni.us/h1recorder MixPre-3 on B&H: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1333778-REG/sound_devices_mixpre_3_mixpre_3_mic_preamps.html/BI/6566/KBID/7173 Option 5: Audio Recorder To Camera Hook you mic to the recorder, your recorder to your camera AND headphones. When editing, use the camera’s audio UNLESS something went wrong in which case you have the backup on your recorder. Just sharing a few screens and operations of the RAmos T12 TNT-5 inch Mp3/Mp4 Player. Current Firmware Version is 2.3.1. 800x480 Screen resolution, 16 Million colors. It has a CLICK WHEEL that allows you to scroll though and choose menu items. I wasn't able to play the following file formats, wmv flv,3gp,vob,mpg,Mov or iphone mp4 format. I was able to play these formats, MKV 720P, Divx, Xvid, (AVI), RMVB Currently you CAN'T RESUME PLAY videos. Not able to display idx/Sub subtitles (haven't tried others). The screen is very nice, amazing quality. Composite Video output. Unit is very thin. A big hello to mp4nation.net No Conversion needed for playback of divx/xvid,Rmvb,MKV

Sony PlayStation 2 :: RGB210 / MY LIFE IN GAMING
Get the Best Picture from your PlayStation 2! The PS2 was designed very specifically for the CRTs of its day. How does it look on CRTs vs. HDTVs, and what are some of the challenges with various cables and upscalers? And you might be surprised by how PS3 backwards compatibility works! All this, plus HD port comparisons and more! NOTE: The nature of interlaced video makes it critical that you watch this episode at 60 frames per second, or else many shots just will not look right at all. Ideally, also view on the fastest monitor or TV that you have available. While YouTube's compression doesn't fully convey the effect, the OSSC's bob deinterlacing is completely butchered on monitors with a slow pixel response time. G3Xn/G3n: Introduction
The Zoom G3Xn and G3n let guitarists create without limits. With an array of effects, patches, and faithful recreations of essential guitar tones, the G3Xn and G3n make achieving great sound easier than ever. In this video, we will cover the basic functionality of the G3Xn and the G3n. For more information, and product updates visit: http://zoom-na.com/G3Xn http://zoom-na.com/G3n -- Hi everyone, this is ______ from Zoom and I’m here to introduce you to the G3xn and the G3n Multi-Effects Processors for Guitarists. Each pedal comes with an array of pre-loaded effects and patches, as well as faithful recreations of essential guitar tones. Plus, the G3Xn has a built-in expression pedal, offering guitarists even more versatility. For this video, I'll be using the G3Xn to demonstrate how to use the pedals. The G3Xn and G3n have a mono ¼” input and stereo ¼” outputs. With the AUX input, you can play along to backing tracks from your phone, computer, or other music playback device. Both pedals are powered by the Zoom AD-16 power adapter. Our free Zoom Guitar Lab software lets you view and download new patches. Simply connect your G3Xn or G3n to your computer via USB.. To access the Tuner/Tap Tempo options, hold the Memory/Stomp Button. Use the appropriate footswitch to select the desired function. Each pedal has two modes: MEMORY mode and STOMP mode. Press the MEMORY/STOMP button to toggle between modes. When using MEMORY mode, you can switch between different patches. A patch contains a chain of effects. Within a patch, effects can be turned on and off. In addition to using the unit’s preset patches, you can also create your own custom patches. When using STOMP mode, you can turn individual effects on and off within the different patches. Depending on which mode you’re using, the pedal’s scroll scroll buttons will have different functions. When using MEMORY mode, the SCROLL buttons will switch between banks of patches that will appear on the pedal's displays. This will change which effects are available via footswitch. When using STOMP mode, the SCROLL buttons will change which individual effects are available via footswitch. Use the MENU button to access general settings and the control knob to navigate through options; press the control knob to make a selection. Options include adding or deleting effects, rearranging the patch chain, or renaming and storing the patch. To add effects to your patch, press the MENU button and use the control knob to select ADD. If 7 effects are already in use, the ADD option will not be available. Press the control knob to enter the add screen and choose where the effect will appear in the chain. Then use the up and down Type buttons to choose the effect type. Most effects will be assigned to the footswitches while pedal effects will be assigned to the foot pedal. To re-order your effects chain, press menu, then use the control knob to find the CHAIN option and select it. Use the control knob to highlight the effect you wish to move, then push the knob to select the desired effect. To exit the add effect screen, simply press the menu button. This will take you back to the home screen. To remove an effect from your patch, go to MENU then select DELETE. To edit the name of a patch, go to MENU then select PATCH. Scroll and select to change letters and rename the patch. To save the patch, go to MENU then select SAVE. You can either overwrite the current patch, overwrite another existing patch, or save to an empty patch slot. To adjust effect parameters on your G3Xn or G3n, use the knobs below the display for each footswitch. Each category of effects will have different adjustable parameters.

Scarlett Mix Control Made Easy! Reverb & Custom Headphone Mixes
Grab my FREE Ebook "The Home Studio Blueprint" and EQ chart her! https://www.therecordingsolution.com/free-tools/ The Scarlett Mix Control software can be a little confusing at first glance. Let me break it down for ya. Above is a video of me walking you through the software, but I also wanted to write an article on it in case you are not able to watch a video at the moment. LATENCY Lets first talk about why you would need the Scarlet Mix Control software to set up custom monitor mixes, instead of just using your DAW, in my case, Protools. Latency is the time it takes for the audio signal you are recording to travel travel through the audio interface (mine is a Focusrite 18i20), into your DAW of choice, and back out of your speakers or headphones for you to hear. There is a small millisecond “delay” in the signal because of this. If you have any experience recording, you’ve probably encountered this while trying to record vocals for instance. Even if you set your buffer size in your DAW settings to very low, you will still hear a small delay in the signal, which sounds like a double of your voice and can be quite annoying. What the Focusrite interfaces have to combat this issue is a DSP chip, and the Scarlett Mix Control software that allows you to monitor with NO latency. Pretty bad ass. The only problem is that this software can be very confusing, especially if you’re new to this type of thing. That’s OK, because I got you covered! The Mixer The top section of the software is just a simple virtual mixing console with inputs and faders. This is also where you build your separate custom headphone mixes. On my Focusrite 18i20, I have essentially 8 separate mono mixes, or 4 stereo mixes. At the top of each fader you have input options, which tells the software what audio source you want assigned to that particular fader. In the picture above I have the 1st input set to analogue 1, which is my physical input 1 on the frot of my Focustite 18i20. So anything plugged into channel 1 on my interface will come through the channel on the Scarlett Mix Control set to “anlg in 1” If you had “kick” and “snare” plugged into channels 2 & 3 on your interface, then you would set the next 2 channels on the mix control to “anlg 2” & “anlg 3”. This is how you would build up your mixer with the correct inputs you are recording. Make sure you watch the video above as well because this can get a little confusing. To the far right of the top section of the Scarlett Mix Control, you have 2 faders that are like “Master” faders. Make sure if you want stereo, to click the two sideways figure 8 buttons at the bottom of each master fader. (oo highlighted in blue in the above pic) If you look at the pic above, I’ve set the inputs of the left fader to “DAW 1 & 2″”. That way, anything already recorded coming out of my main DAW outputs 1 & 2, will come through this fader, and I have a master volume control for it. So if in “angl 1” you have a vocal you are recording that day, and you want to record along with tracks that were already recorded in a previous session, you could use the 1 st fader in your mix control for your vocal level, and the 1st “master” fader for the pre recorded tracks coming out of DAW 1 & 2 , and blend to taste for that custom headphone mix. The right “master” fader in the pic above is the over all volume control of the pre recored tracks, and the vocal track you are recording that day. I hope that makes sense. Again, watch the video. The Routing Section The bottom section is where you route the custom headphone mixes you created up top, so that each player can hear their custom mix. The top where it says “routing preset” is where you can switch between “Daw Tracking” (by passes the Scarlet Mix Control), “Zero Latency tracking” (uses the mix control), or “mixing”. If you are using the mix control, set it to “Zero Latency Tracking”. If you are in the control room as the engineer, and you want to hear the DAW mix, set the monitor outputs 1 & 2 to “DAW 1 & 2” Or you can set it to whatever mix you want to hear. For example, if you want to hear the same vocal mix you set up for the vocalist, set it to “Vocal (L)” and “Vocal (R)” Again watch the video and I go further into depth with the rest of the routing options. On my routing section for the Scarlet Mix Control, you can see 2 head phone symbols that correspond to the 2 headphone jacks on the front of my audio interface. This may be different if you have another interface. The 1st headphone jack on my interface is automatically routed in the software to outputs 7 & 8, and the 2nd headphone jack is routed to outputs 9 & 10. You can view the whole blog post at https://www.therecordingsolution.com/scarlett-mix-control-made-easy/

You bring up the “Control Center” and touch “AirPlay” to select to which device you will stream wirelessly. And you can watch videos or even mirror the iPhone on the TV magically! ...until, on an unsuspicious day, a bunch of weird problems happen: from the AirPlay button not showing up… going to weird network instabilities, audio delays or dropping AirPlay connection altogether. You can try one step at a time, checking to see if it works... I find it easier to go over the whole troubleshooting list at once, it will take you about 3 minutes to put AirPlay back working fine. Of course you noticed my tiny 'Green Screen' prop television. I superimposed the actual image of the Apple TV on Final Cut, using Chroma Key. Transcribing Audio Files in Google Docs with Voice Typing
Using a different bunch of recording devices, check out how Google Doc's Voice typing works to transcribe the audio to a text document. Why would you waste your time with this? Some kids need Voice to text options, But they are preoccupied by the extra "offerings" of the web. I believe there is a real possibility to use this option to create closed captioned video. Be sure to check your playback volume. Set output at the minimal level for best results.

5 tips to make your iTunes library sound better
Learn more about Apogee Products: http://www.apogeedigital.com/products Just about everyone has an iTunes library or listens to a streaming music service of some sort, Here are some tips on improving the sound quality of your digital music library. Let's start with which file format to use in iTunes If you purchase music from the iTunes store the files are MPEG-4 AAC If you are importing your CD collection... you have five different settings Go to preferences, General, Import Settings. For best quality you will either use WAV, AIFF, or Apple Loss less WAV and AIFF are uncompressed, so your CDs are copied without any loss in quality. However, take up quite a bit more hard drive space. Apple Loss less is a compressed format, but many feel their is no difference in sound quality... and saves a lot of space compared to WAV and AIFF. If disc space is limited... you may want to try AAC Select "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" This may reduce the speed of the transfer... but ensures Hi-Quality Now click on "playback" and un-check "Sound Enhancer" and "Sound Check" Go to "Window", "Equalizer", and make sure the Equalizer is off as well. The most important step is how the digital files are converted to analog and played back through your speakers or headphones. Simply connecting the headphone out of your computer to your stereo system will work... but will not come close to the sound you get using the Digital to Analog conversion of the Apogee ONE and Apogee Duet. You can connect either of these devices to your Apple computer, iPad, or iPhone... now connect the outputs to your stereo system. The Last step is setting the proper volume. In iTunes make sure the Volume is turned all the way up and you control the volume with ONE or Duet if you are using headphones or powered speakers connected directly to ONE or Duet. If you are connecting the outputs of ONE or Duet to a stereo receiver... you will turn the volume all the way up on Duet or ONE as well as iTunes....and control volume with your stereo receiver.

TIMESTAMPS Control your smartphone with head movements 0:43 Text-to-speech 1:28 Smartphone remote control 1:59 Turning on Guest Mode 2:35 Screen magnifier 3:10 Hotspot mode 3:37 The easiest way to save your battery power 4:15 A secret game 4:44 #androidsettings #androidsecrets #phonecodes SUMMARY - After installing a free app called EVA Facial Mouse, you’ll be able to control your Android device with movements of your head! - If you prefer to hear incoming information rather than see it, go to Settings/Accessibility and turn on the Text-to-Speech Output option. - Just go to Settings/Security/Device administrators, and check the boxes next to Android Device Manager, Remotely locate this device, and Allow remote lock and erase. Now if you lose your smartphone, you can locate and block it without losing your data via a special website. - If you would like to give your phone to another person yet keep your personal data confidential, use Guest Mode. Swipe down from the top with two fingers, and touch the user icon on the upper right. The Add guest icon will appear. - People with poor eyesight often have no idea how much this feature can help them. Just go to Settings / Accessibility / Magnification gestures. Then you’ll be able to zoom in on any part of the display just by tapping it. - To use the Internet on different devices, go to Settings / Tethering and portable hotspot, and turn on Portable WLAN hotspot. That’s it! - If you choose a black or simple dark background for your screen, the automatic pixel highlighting will turn off, and you’ll notice that your device keeps its charge for much longer. - Starting with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Google puts a small secret present for users into all their devices. However, finding it may prove to be quite difficult. Here are instructions on how to do it despite the odds. First, go to Settings and choose About phone or About tablet. Quickly tap Android version several times, and when a small marshmallow shows up on the screen, quickly tap it again, and a special mini-game will open. Phantom 4 DJI Go Screen Recording Tutorial
How to record the screen of your DJI Go App One question that i get on almost video is how do I record the screen of the DJI Go App for my videos. I have explored a couple of different setups on how to do this and am doing an overview in this video of them On Android I use a Samsung tablet coupled with either AZ Recorder or Telecine. Both of those apps are free and available for free on the Google Play store. I use an SD Micro card in the tablet, put the screen recordings on there and then import them into premiere. One issue with this setup (and you can see this in the video) is that they video and audio does not stay in sync and requires more time in post to keep the multiple cameras in sync with each other. *** Update - I did a video about fixing the Audio sync - basically just rename the file from AZ Recorder to .mov and that fixes the issue On iOS I use my iPhone. This setup requires my MacBook Pro, a portable wireless router and a piece of software on the mac to record the airplay session - I get both the iOS device and the Macbook connected on the same wireless network via the Dlink Router I then start the Airserver software and configure any options I may want. At that point I am ready to airplay mirror my iOS screen to my MacBook and start recording. From this point the MacBook is recording the screen. A couple of pro's and con's with this setup. Pro: It stays in sync for editing! Unlike the Android solution time on the recording doesn't slip and stays in line. Con(s): 1) It's a lot more equipment than just an android tablet 2) there are some dropouts Gear used in this Video: Cameras: Camera 1 - Canon C100MKii Samsung A Tablet DJI Go App Telecine App - Screen Recording AZ Recorder - Screen Recording AirServer - Screen Recording iOS D-link DIR-510L Macbook Pro 15" Retina Tripods - Benro S8 kit for Video Rode VideoLink Polar Pro ND Filters Did you like the video? Aux Input CD Stereo Hack
Here's how to add an auxiliary input to your CD stereo on your car. This method is applicable to almost all vehicles that have an analog CD player. Demonstrated here is a Toyota Corolla. Adding an auxiliary input to your vehicle is a cheap and easy method to get CD quality audio to your car's sound system from your phone, tablet, bluetooth device or MP3 player. FM transmitters cause too much interference, static, and have poor sound quality. Aftermarket radios are more expensive, and have a tacky, flashy odd look that won't bode well with a vintage car. This method employs the use of the CD player lines in the radio. A blank CD is played, and sound input from a 3.5mm stereo extension cable is injected into the analog CD lines going from the radio to the equalizer. The benefit is the CD player and radio can still be fully functional, and all the equalizer controls (balance, fade, volume, bass, treble, etc) can still be controlled when audio is sourced from AUX. The radio is opened up and the Left, Right and Ground channels are identified and soldered to. Once the blank CD is inserted, the radio is tricked into reading audio from the CD player, but instead the source is coming from your music device or phone. A 3.5mm bluetooth adapter can be hooked up to this aux port to expand the functionality to have wireless audio streaming. How to Transcribe Audio or Video Recordings into Text
If you need to Transcribe Audio or Video Recordings into Text you will find out that you need to focus between a word processor or editor that you may be using to enter text, and the media player that you may be using to play the audio or video. This problem can be solved without taking your fingers off the keyboard by switching back-and-forth via hotkeys, providing an efficient experience. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ Step # 1-Option 1: Download and install "Listen n' Write" “Listen n' Write” is a free program that is real easy to use which provides a text editing area below a player. You’ll be able to employ keyboard shortcuts to play, pause, jump forward or backwards for a number of seconds. To download this program, go to “download.cnet.com/windows”. Then, type in the search bar: "Listen n' Write". You’ll see a list of programs. Scroll down and click on the “Download now“ button for "Listen n' Write". A new window will open to download the program. Follow the steps and press the “Install now” button. Then choose the language and follow the steps to install the application. Step # 2 - Open "Listen n' Write" Then open the program. By default you’ll see the player and a text editor. Load your audio or video in the player. As an example, we will open an audio track. To do this, go to the player menu. Click on “File” and then choose “Open multimedia file”. Choose the file and click “Open”. The default keyboard shortcuts are: F5 (pause/play), F6 (back), and F7 (forward). To change the setting, you can go to “Option” in the player menu and set different features. For example: “Playback time before pause” or “Time of Pause before playback”, among others. One interesting feature is “Smart Pause N Play”, which you can activate from the options menu as well. This causes the player to play a few seconds of audio, stop for a few seconds, and then continue again. Step # 3 - Option 2: Download and install PotPlayer Another option is to use “PotPlayer”, a free media player for Windows that plays all type of media file formats and that can be controlled via global hotkeys. This means that users can control their media playback in any app, giving user control over playing, pausing and inching back or forward a few seconds, without having to switch focus from the other application being used. Step # 4 - Download and install PotPlayer Download and install “PotPlayer”. Go to your browser and type “www.softpedia.com”. In the search bar of the website, write “potplayer”. Click on the result, and then on the “Download” button. Finally, click on the “Softpedia Secure Download” for Windows 32 bits or 64 bits, depending on your operating system. Then open the installer and follow the instructions to install it. Step # 5 - Set up PotPlayer keyboard shortcuts: Launch the program; right click on the main interface of the program and choose “Preferences”. A new window will open. In the left sidebar, navigate to “General”; click on the ”Plus” icon and press ‘Keyboard’. You will be able to add the shortcuts. Just click on the “Add” button. Now you can choose, for example, the hotkeys for playback. Simply pick the action and then choose the key you want to use. When you’re done, press the Ok button. Add as many shortcuts as you need and once you're done, click OK. Step # 6 - Use PotPlayer and a text processor Finally, open a text processor and PotPlayer to work on your transcription. Click on Potplayer and choose Open file. Then you’ll be able to work on your transcription using your selected shortcuts. Result: Congratulations! You’ve just learned how to Transcribe Audio or Video Recordings into Text.
