What is FLOW TRADING? What does FLOW TRADING mean? FLOW TRADING meaning & explanation

What is FLOW TRADING? What does FLOW TRADING mean? FLOW TRADING meaning - FLOW TRADING definition - FLOW TRADING explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. In finance, flow trading occurs when a firm trades stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities, their derivatives, or other financial instruments, with funds from a client, rather than its own funds. Flow trading can be a significant source of profits for investment banks. Engaging in flow trading can also boost a firm's own proprietary trading profits via access to information on client activities, as well as the fact that the firm can often facilitate client trades by serving as the counterparty, thus profiting from the bid-offer spread. In 2011 the Volcker Rule aimed to limit flow trading businesses from taking proprietary bets.

Profitable trading strategies using Money Flow Index (MFI)

04:47
Scan Stocks Using MFI (Money Flow Index) using StockEdge- In this video, we have explained you in detail about how to scan stocks using StockEdge App. The money flow index is a momentum indicator that measures the inflow and outflow of money into security over a specific period of time, in this case, 14 days. MFI uses a stock's price and volume to measure momentum, it is hence referred to as a volume-weighted RSI. _________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested In Technical Analysis and want to take your learning to the next level then visit our certified courses here- https://www.elearnmarkets.com/subject/technical-analysis ________________________________________________________________________________________ Visit Elearnmarkets: https://www.elearnmarkets.com Download StockEdge App: https://stockedge.com/ To get more updates Follow us on- Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/elearnmarkets Twitter- https://twitter.com/elearnmarkets Linkedin- https://www.linkedin.com/company/9399886

The 4 Most Important Financial Metrics

07:57
Financial metrics are the key numbers that you can focus on in financial statements. There are three financial statements, the balance sheet, the income statement and the cash flow that we like to look at to find important metrics. http://bit.ly/2xOCmRl Were going to look at some of the most important financial metrics that you as investors can use to evaluate a company. The first important number we look at on the balance sheet is liquidity. Can the company you’re looking at really cover everything that they need to cover in the next year? Or have they somehow overloaded themselves with short term debt and obligations that they could really run out of cash in the next year? In order to evaluate this, we want to look at the current ratio. Essentially it is a measure of working capital. It compares the current assets, which are assets that can be turned into cash in the next year, with current liabilities, which are obligations that have to be paid in the next year. What you want to look for when evaluating a company is a 2:1 ratio of liquidity to debt. Some companies are very well run that have a lower ratios than that, because they are controlling their cash very well, or they are in an industry that isn’t growing fast so they don’t need as much liquidity. These companies work their capital down so they don’t need as much cash on hand all the time and they can give that money to their shareholders. You will know that these companies are very well run because, they are really big companies. Most companies, particularly smaller companies need at least a 2:1 ratio between current assets and current liabilities. That’s a great measure of liquidity. We call that the liquidity metric. How to Eliminate Stress While Trading (The Flow of Stock Trading)

05:35
How to Eliminate Stress While Trading (The Flow of Stock Trading) ★ SUMMARY ★ Hey it’s Sasha Evdakov and in this video I want to share with you How to Eliminate Stress When it Comes to Trading Stocks or trading in your account. In either case how do you eliminate that Stress caused by when you’re trading in the stock market? Well a lot of times people take on this stress because they don't understand their psychology or their psychological state that they’re in. Now seeing psychology when you see things visually and with diagrams allows you to really hone in and kind of be aware and see yourself from an outside perspective and then you can make adjustments. It becomes a little bit more of a complicated subject if you start talking about it in those literature books or the study guide things as you get deeper and deeper and deeper into studying psychology. Now I’ve studied psychology and I'm just going to show you a simplified diagram version of it so that way maybe you can start understanding what's going on and what's happening. Looking at this diagram this is called the Flow channel and I got this from a book called Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience. Volume Profile And Order Flow Analysis Understanding The Market Through Market Generated Information

53:06
I created this video to explain volume profile and order flow analysis together to find better trading opportunities. This video is more on volume profile and less on order flow though. Visit http://www.orderflows.com To me volume is more important than time. You can spend a lot of time in an area but that may be because the market is consolidating ahead of an economic release or a Fed announcement. As you can see volume shows a much better picture of support and resistance. No can we use this during the intra-day time frame... well yes, most traders including me will look for these areas to be traded during the day and trade off them accordingly. But can this information be used in other ways to help us trade the intra-day time frame. Again yes and very effectively when you know how to use it. Volume profile and order flow analysis can be used for trading anything on an organized exchange or over the counter. Because the volume profile reflects the underlying nature of markets, which does not differ fundamentally from one market to another, the same basic methods can be applied no matter what futures contract or commodity is being bought or sold. Volume profile and order flow analysis work great together by providing necessary volume information at key areas, thus allowing for much better timing of your trades and trade location. Follow Orderflows: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/orderflows YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI37HXPO1f4o9j4SA83-Iog LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mvaltos Twitter: https://twitter.com/orderflowsmike Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/orderflows/ Volume profile is a vertical bell curve graphic on a chart that shows the developing market dynamics of price and volume over time. It organizes what is otherwise chaotic price movement and provides the trader with a means to determine where and how buyers and sellers are interacting within the market. You can see quickly areas of price acceptance and price rejection. What an order flow trader adapted from one of the “big boys” – Ben, @BLB_Capital

EP 093: What an order flow fanatic adapted from one of the “big boys” — Ben, @BLB_Capital What you’re about to hear is a conversation I had with a short-term futures trader, Ben—whose last name we won’t mention only for privacy reasons, but he goes by @BLB_Capital on Twitter. Before entering the market, Ben previously ran a construction company until an injury put him out of action for a period of time, which is when a friend got him interested in trading. Developing his craft over recent years, the bulk of Ben’s trading now revolves around order flow and he’s most active in Oil, Gold and ES. Over the next 50-mins or so we discuss; what Ben learned and emulated from a large bond trader he was trained by, insight to his core trading strategies, how he utilizes automation, why traders should be aware of “right-to-left syndrome” and more. - - - - - - LINKS - - - - - - · Show notes: https://chatwithtraders.com/ep-093-ben-blb-capital · More interviews: https://chatwithtraders.com · Free resources: https://chatwithtraders.com/resources · Sponsored by Darwinex: https://darwinex.com/traders · Twitter: https://twitter.com/chatwithtraders · Facebook: http://facebook.com/chatwithtraders · Instagram: https://instagram.com/chatwithtraders_ · Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/chat-with-traders · Stitcher: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/chat-with-traders

Introduction to Order Flow Analysis for Day Trading - 2014

01:44:37
Those that know Jigsaw or took a look at our website know that we sell a set of tools for reading order flow. Those tools look at order flow in the very short term. This is NOT what we will be discussing today. We are going to keep this with the sphere of applying order flow to daytrading but be looking a little longer term. We are going to look at the Theme or Theory or the concept or the principles behind all order flow tools. Remove any remaining confusion about the theory behind order flow. Why are we doing this? I have come across many people that use one order flow tool but have no clue how to use others. A good example would be someone that trades CD divergences mechanically but is lost when it comes to footprint charts. They don't fully understand the underlying theory behind these tools. The tools are simply a different view of the same information FOR THE SAME REASON. It is my belief that understanding the theory behind such tools will make the use of the tools more productive. After this session, you should understand the mechanics of price change and be able to understand ANY order flow tool. Now -- that doesn't mean you'll be able to use any order flow tool immediately. These tools are a bit like reading a book or riding a bike. It takes practice. Just one thing -- we are going to discuss the merits of a number of order flow tools -- that does not mean I use them all and it does not mean you should do to. You'll end up with analysis paralysis if you try to use all of them to trade off. Finally, this session will give you actionable information that you can take away and start using in your trading. http://www.jigsawtrading.com/blog/1699/ Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. Practical Application of Order Flow 2014 - Part 1

02:08
Some of what is in here is the result of observation and some is the result of discussions with other traders. Some will make more sense after your own observation. This is not going to be 2 sessions of things you MUST use in order to benefit from order flow. The idea is to give you a selection of ideas and for you to take what you need from it - Today we are going to look at the relationship between liquidity (floors and ceilings) and price action - Then we'll have a look at scalping. Why you might want to consider shorter term trading and then we'll look at the areas that prop traders commonly look at to take scalp trades. We will be discussing actual entry and exit points. http://www.jigsawtrading.com/blog/practical-application-order-flow-2014-edition-part-1/ Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. Better understanding global trade flows

New analysis from the OECD and WTO breaks with conventional measurement of trade flows to reflect the way businesses increasingly disperse production chains across several countries. By looking at imports and exports in value-added terms, a fuller picture can be built up of international trade and commercial relations between nations. How Robinhood Makes Money

09:01
Robinhood, an investing app valued at over $5 billion, says it's trying to "democratize America's financial system" by making investing accessible to the little guy with free trades. It's an eye-popping valuation for a financial company with opaque metrics and plenty of competition. The young company had its share of missteps as well, prompting questions of whether or not it can handle primetime. Robinhood has faced criticism for business practices that allow it to offer free trading. It also botched the rollout of a checking and savings account feature in late 2018, garnering concern from regulators. But the company's incredible growth and popularity with younger investors – more than 6 million users by the end of 2018 – means it could be a major player in banking moving forward. » Subscribe to CNBC: http://cnb.cx/SubscribeCNBC About CNBC: From 'Wall Street' to 'Main Street' to award winning original documentaries and Reality TV series, CNBC has you covered. How To Trade Against A Large Order - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

07:33
Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://axiafutures.com/mp/Price-Ladder-Training-And-Order-Flow-Strategies/?af_id=6 Richard leads a price ladder tutorial on how to trade against a large order with an example in the crude oil futures market. There are three aspects to this trade. 1. You first need to see a large order, ideally in line with the trend (in this case the trend is down and the order shows up on the offer). 2. Movement - the order moves closer to market as it tries to get filled. 3. Exit the trade either when the large order gives in and makes a splash by hitting market, or alternatively when the order starts to diminish as the market trades into it. This order flow examples shows how the trade started with a quick snap down of 10 ticks and 700 lots appearing on the offer. It moves down closer to where the market is trading and stops moving as it is traded into before the market then trades higher after everyone who sold ahead of the large order is forced to exit. Your Trading Edge, Emotional Order Flow - Part 5 👊

● Developing Patience and Knowing When To Trade. http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/strategies/strategies-tips.html ● Check Mark's Premium Course: https://price-action-trading.teachable.com/ ✔ Please like the video and comment if you enjoyed - it helps a lot! Your Trading Edge, Emotional Order Flow. How can we predict people on normal circumstances? I don't think you can predict people's behaviour in all circumstances but in certain scenarios things become a little more predictable. Things like many traders trapped in a trade leading to massive losses/capitulation. If there are some pressure put on traders/investors that gives us a better edge. Check the chart on the screen. There is an air of panic amongst longs - what's happening - why is it dropping so suddenly? - OMG what if it's really serious? - I'm going to be margin called soon. When there are unknowns imaginations run wild and every second delay seems like it's costing them more and more, so they panic out. Which leads to emotional order flow. When a trader is prepared to sacrifice price in order to get in or out, that is when opportunities present themselves to private traders. RedBridge Capital presents Order Flow training using Bookmap (2018)

17:44
In this video we help a trader struggling to go from sim trading to profitable live trading. We are a boutique order flow trading research, consulting and mentoring services company. Our investment style has been derived of over 15 years of providing tape reading and market tactic strategies to hedge funds and institutional clients while at firms such as UBS Securities and Bear Stearns. In 2012, we founded the order flow sequencing factor and built proprietary algorithms and trading software for discerning traders of all levels. Our core philosophy and approach to the market is in analyzing the time and sales, plus volume action of large commercial traders, institutions and program algorithms who control upwards of 92% of the daily volume in the market, or what is called Institutional money flow (IMF).
