Here is my RX 460 4GB Monero mining guide. I was ultimately able to hash at ~355h/s with a load power draw of 41 watts. We will use PolarisBIOSeditor to modify our BIOS, ATiFlashTool to flash the BIOS, and the PixelClockPatcher to patch the driver. HWinfo64 can be used to observe any potential memory errors during mining operation (especially when Overclocked).

SamsTechStuff yea, thas why im planning to buy Rx460, it has twice more stream cpus onboard and more rops, btw that my RX550 is modded, running 2175Mhz memory (good hynix patch) and 1430 core, no V added at 525H/s, that 460 should make around 750 easily i hope, oh and its in the same price range as 550 (just about 3-4euros more) so yey
I havent fixed it yet, but i already set the bios to boot on the integrated one so i can flash the bad one. Unfortunately the windows cannot detect the card itself. So i cant flash the bad card. I seen a video where they short circuit the 1-8 pin on card. I believe its the bios on the card. Ill try that and let you know what happen after
Solid Solon, sorry to hear about that. Usually you can fix that type of issue though. I suggest booting the system with only two graphics cards installed, a known good one (could be the integrated gpu or PCIe) and the card with the bad BIOS. Put the known good card in a top PCIe slot and the card with the bad bios on a lower PCIe slot. When you boot up, try to launch the ATI Flash tool and flash the stock bios back. Hopefully this helps. Let us know if you get stuck and where.
I have heard about this but do no yet have any experience with it. I have only tested creating/updating BIOS's for AMD graphics cards on standard Windows 10 Home/Pro, specifically with the AMD blockchain driver. What hashrates do you get from your other graphics cards?
Powerlevel 6 , no oc..The driver used for this card, is the same as is used for the RX470/570 rx480/580, and they get the normal hashes.
It's a standard OS, that comes with the miners and drivers at once. simplemining.net
Is there a better way to get in touch ? I kinda think, it could be possible, the bios from the card is messed up by the previous owner.
Steven G, I haven't seen this before. Just to double check, the rest of the computer functions normally? What do you have your power limit set at? Which program are you using to mine with?
I would start troubleshooting the basics by following our video on how to remove the driver with DDU, then reinstalling the August 23rd blockchain driver.

Great videos, Sam. I'll give your channel a shoutout in my next video, thanks for tuning into the livestream of the vega build, too bad youtube took it down. I plan on re-shooting it as soon as I get my privileges back.
SamsTechStuff thanks, bud. Looks like I got my privileges back. My mom said she may have accidentally flagged me and blamed the fact that it was her first time watching a live stream, lmao, suuuuure, Mom!
I have in fact heard of this working for the 2GB RX 460s! I would search for your model or a similar model 2GB RX 460 on Overclocking.guide. You may be able to simply pick a similar model BIOS from the same (or even different) branded 460. You can always flash back if you have an integrated GPU or a spare stable running GPU.
I haven't switched over to 10.2 yet but that is good to know! I may revisit or look at the increases for multiple GPUs to see what benefits. The Cast miner doesn't seem to support the Baffin GPUs (460+560) yet. Hopefully version 7 will though as I'm sure there is more left in these.
