I have a AMD A6 7400k which is had onboard VGA, i tried to install my new RX 460 2GB (no power pin need) on my pc, but it cant connect to the monitor, the PC seems to booting and loading, the VGA's fan is running normal. My PSU is Hexa 400 Pure. What's the problem with my pc? Does it really needed to uninstall the onboard vga's driver before i install the rx 460? Thanks before *note: sorry for my bad english :)
ThisBytesForYou (17 days ago)
no worries my friend about the english, it looks fine to me. So stupid question, do you have the monitor plugged into the video card, or still to the onboard video? In some cases you need to disable onboard video for the video card to work, but before you do that, let's troubleshoot a little more. Did you plug in the PCIe cable to the back of the card, it need power to power on. The card requires a 450Watt power supply, so that 400Watt may not be enough. Make sure the input on the monitor is selected that the video card uses, so for example if you are using HDMI, make sure the output on the monitor is set to HDMI, or DP or DVI, which ever you are plugging into the video card. Remove the video card and reinsert it, it may not be properly seated. Let me know if any of that helps.

I have 264 watt power supply,I install Rx 460 but it gives black screen and nothing happens but light gpu shows light when I plugged gt 710 it works fine can you help me
ThisBytesForYou (7 months ago)
being that you have a 264Watt power supply, you may have an older system, your PCI-e slots may not be 2.0 or even 3.0. What motherboard do you have?
carry minati (7 months ago)
ThisBytesForYou thanks,I changed the power supply but I doesn't work because my PCi exress slot is not working, but I want to know that how graphic cards are dead because I bought this for 180$ and it has only 3 months warranty and I am scared can you tell me expert
ThisBytesForYou (7 months ago)
While the video card only consumes 75Watts, the recommended power supply for this (recommended by Sapphire) is 450Watts. The requirements for a GT710 is 300Watts, and while you are pushing those requirements with a 264Watt Power Supply, at 450, it cannot hit that recommendation. Also, a GT710 does not require any sort of additional power, while the 460 does require a 6PIN PCIE connection. I recommend you update your power supply and it should work. Do you know what chassis you are using in your computer Carry? Also, thank you so much for stopping by and commenting.

after install this gpu my monitor turn into black screen? any solution?
ThisBytesForYou (8 months ago)
A few things to check, 1. is the video card firmly seated into the PCI-e slot, I recommend removing the card, then re-inserting it, just in case, I included in this video how to remove the card. 2. Is the video cable, still plugged into the onboard video or is it plugged into the video card. Changes are the onboard video is a vertical connection, next to the USB ports. The video card is the horizontal connection. 3. Is the correct input on the monitor selected? Were you using DVI before and now using HDMI, DP, DVI or vice versa? Select the correct input on the monitors on screen display, usually a button on the monitor to change inputs. 4. If your video card has a PCI-e connection, is it plugged in, if it has 2, are both plugged in, yes they both need to be plugged in. Let me know if this helps, these are the most common issues.

I have rx 460 2gb graphic card...it showing no signal in my led tv and fan spinnig....what should i do?
TheBurningManiaC (2 months ago)
Go back and buy the 4gb version
ThisBytesForYou (1 year ago)
No signal could mean more than a card, it could be that there is an issue with the system. Without knowing more, assuming it is the card, and maybe a new install of the card, a few things to check. 1. Verify that he card is properly seated, remove the card and reseat it into the PCI-E slot (Make sure the system is powered off before you remove the card) 2. Make sure the PCI-E power cable is properly seated in the card, remove it and plug it back in (Makes sure the system is powered off before you remove the PCI-e connection) 3. Verify that your monitor is in fact connected to the video card and not the motherboard.

What if I have a black screen does it mean that the Motherboard may not support it
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
are you plugged into the video card or the on board graphics? Also, do you have the PCIE cables connected to the video card?
JustJack (1 year ago)

well the term plug and play has lost it's true meaning. Plug and play comes from the older times when you had to set jumpers, switches, manually set IRQ's and such, now people have changed it to become that it means windows installs the drivers for you. Yes, windows will install the drivers for you, but a good example of how well that works is would you prefer to dress yourself, or have your mom dress you? Both ways you get dressed but one of them makes you not perform as well with the ladies and the other, is 100% up to you have you want the performance to do. I recommend uninstalling the older drivers, then downloading the latest and greatest drivers and installing them.

so, the cable for connect to Monitor ? I'm must buy a new cable?
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
you are very welcome my friend, I am very happy I could help.
『L.P.OSU』 ™ (1 year ago)
Thanks for your answer
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
well it is a dual core, so it's not the greatest by todays standards but getting an RX460 might be good because when you update the processor/board/memory, you will still have the video card and it should suite you well for a bit
『L.P.OSU』 ™ (1 year ago)
Eh... I have a question, my processor is AMD A4-7300, it worth with RX460? I got bottleneck or not?
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
I get this error when I click on the link 404. That’s an error. The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know.
Hijacked Entity (1 year ago)
i have serious issues with the drivers for it. after installing them, the dvi signal broke and corrupted my hard drive. Formatting it externally was my only option, so I did that. But still, I do not recommend the rx 460, get the 470 instead, since it has a higher value and stability.
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
sounds good brother, keep an eye out on the hdd, could be bad too, I hate when it happens, but thats one of the most common issues
Hijacked Entity (1 year ago)
Iggy Castillo havent tried it out. I need a windows ISO to do that. since i formatted my only 1 HDD. Sadly, i dont have another pc available to do so. I'll tell ya when I do.
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
yeah the clip breaking can happen, not a biggy. Is everything working now after the reinstall?
Hijacked Entity (1 year ago)
Iggy Castillo it is seated well. I couldnt see any gaps and such. But my clip broke when i was unlocking it to put in the graphics card. the pins, luckily, did not suffer any visible harm.
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
no not at all. Can you verify that the card is properly seated, remove it and slide it back into the PCI-e slot, make sure its on the first pcie slot.

i have a problem with this card, i installed it but it says that opengl 2.0 or higher is missing.. how can i solve this?
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
if you had a previous card, uninstall all the drivers, then reboot, if it asks you to reboot a few times, reboot as many times as it asks you, then install these drivers, if you are using Windows 10 64Bit: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 Install them by double clicking on the exe and install, dont use the device manger route that seems to be popular for some reason Also, I like to uninstall all drivers then I use DDU to clean my system of drivers: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Iggy Castillo just got it installed today!! Works great!!!
Iggy Castillo (1 year ago)
well, Dell likes to build their own proprietary cases, so there could be a size issue. I recommend opening up your case to see if there is any clearance issue and take a look at my review and all of the videos, they may help answer your questions on if it will fit and there are measurements on the card as well that may help. Also verify that you have a capable power supply.

TSGseyhan (2 years ago)
Iggy Castillo Thanks but how do i see that i have an x8 or x16 PCI-E ?? Or do you say that in you're videos??
Iggy Castillo (2 years ago)
you are very welcome TSGseyhan. i have quite a few videos showing people how to build computers, it might help you.
TSGseyhan (2 years ago)
Iggy Castillo thx i will check it out soon thanks!
Iggy Castillo (2 years ago)
Hello TSGesyhan, no, it will not fit in every computer, your computer will of course need to have a x8 or x16 PCI-E slot and you need to have enough space in the machine. Check out my review, it might help you http://www.dragonblogger.com/sapphire-radeon-nitro-rx460oc-4gb-11257-02-20g-review/

if i missed it, should have said about removing drivers before changing cards. nice vid and the 512mb mem channel is off the hook for this card, my Sapphire 260x oc's from 1050/6000 to 1155/6600 on stk power, would like to upgrade to this no problems.
Iggy Castillo (2 years ago)
thanks for answering, I must have missed the comment ;)
Iggy Castillo (2 years ago)
No, you dont need to install them before, but it might save you a few minutes because windows will try to correct the potential issue and re-detect the card but like YB THE KING stated, you can do it afterwards as well.
