hi mam u r awsme..pls explain chnge of verb if object is feminine e.g mein(boy) gaadi me jaa rahi tha yaa ja raha tha...pls help
Edupedia World (5 months ago)
Here we are not talking about the vehicle (gadi) but boy who is going. So the sentence will be according to the gender(boy). Main(boy) gaadi me jaa rha tha. Main(girl) gaadi me jaa rhi thi. where as if we will talk about the vehicle for example:- Gaadi tez chal rhi thi. not related to this lesson but i would like to know which one is correct ? mujhe chai peena hai or peeni hai (male person) explain.
Edupedia World (2 months ago)
Well! It should be "Mujhe chai peeni hai" and not "Mujhe chai peena hai", both for male as well as female. The reason is that Chai is feminine so it should be peeni irrespective of who is actually having it. Hope it is clear. You can watch more such videos on different subjects in our playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6E97LDJTFJgzWU7G3CHILw/playlists?view=1&flow=grid&view_as=subscriber All the best, go ahead and learn.

got it thanks for the quick reply
Edupedia World (9 months ago)
If we talk about someone elder than us and that person is masculine, then we use "ke". i.e. Ram ke papa but if we talk about younger one or our friends then we use "ka". i.e. Ram ka Mitra Shyam. Hope your doubt is clear now. :-)

Thanks for sharing your query. Here is a common difference that we are sharing and rest detailing will be given in the upcoming video session. Words which end in sound of “aa” (आ) such as कपडा (Kapada – Cloth), (गधा - donkey) etc comes under Masculine. Words which end in sound of “ee” (ई) such as रोटी (Roti – Flat Bread), बेटी (Beti – Daughter) etc comes under Feminine. Stay tuned and do share our videos.
