Graphene is a form of carbon that could bring us bulletproof armor and space elevators, improve medicine, and make the internet run faster — some day. For the past 15 years, consumers have been hearing about this wonder material and all the ways it could change everything. Is it really almost here, or is it another promise that is perpetually just one more breakthrough away?

What about the biodegradability of graphene ? And its interesting that it was compared to plastics when it first came out in which until now has huge problem in the environment ( the plastic ) in comparison graphene might have that same problem hence my question
Why does no one interrogate the risks of humans being surrounded by electric fields all day? It's bad enough that people have cell phones on them radiating EMF all day, but now you want everyone to wear clothing that also emits EMF?
We have technologies available that could solve most of the world's problems, but they won't be implemented by human consciousness is still focused on competitive advantage, greed, and control. Expect graphene to be used as a means to control society, if it isn't being used for that already.
From what I hear bacteria cannot survive on the surface of Graphene. Antibiotic resistant bacteria like MRSA or C-Diff thrive on Hospital Privacy Curtains and this is where infections spread. Healthcare workers reach up with blue Latex gloves or bare hands and touch the curtains and the deadly infections start to culture and multiply. Toilet Seats, Gloves, hospital Blankets/Bedding , Privacy Curtains, utensils, dishes, cups plus trays could all be made out of Graphene to stop the spread of hospital born bacteria and viruses..!
But the issue that mankind has faced ever since the technological advances are that longer lasting products are pointless as there always be another company who will bring brand new products or updated versions of their predecessors and the consumer always go and buy them leaving that "longer lasting product" behind. Much like the electronic devices that are lying around in the waste.
The only time an invention impacts society is when it doesn’t actually do anything truly beneficial to mankind. I’m sure they could develop plastics that break down in land fill. Cars that don’t rust. Paint that doesn’t peel and that acts like solar panels or super hi efficient batteries with unlimited energy retention and not harmful to the environment. If these were used in products then landfill sites would have less garbage.
