What i have understood about the 4 phases of iron (alpha, gamma, delta and cementite) is that if we take a iron containing 100%iron and 0%C and heat it at different temperature, then all the 4 phases will be obtained and a pure iron with 0%C melts at 1538 degree celsius. Am i right , anybody please correct me if i am wrong......

If we are at 100% iron (pure iron) then as temperature increases we have alpha iron (BCC) till 912* degree C. From 912 degree C to 1394 C (approximately) we have gamma iron (FCC). 1394 to 1538 we have delta iron (again BCC). At 1538 degree C pure iron melts. Cementite does not exist for pure iron (100% iron). Cementite is Fe3C, so it occurs only when we have some percentage of Carbon. To sum up we have alpha, gamma, delta and liquid iron for 100% iron case as temperature increase. In case the iron is not pure, but has carbon present then the carbon combined alpha phase gives rise to ferrite phase and the Carbon combined gamma phase is called austenite phase. *Note: All the temperatures mentioned may vary by 1-2 degree C if you refer to different sources.
